Animorphs was a book series written over 9,000 weeks ago in the mid to late 90's. It was about a group of teenagers who were entrusted by a dying alien trying to save the world. To do this, he gave them the power to morph into animals, because highly-intelligent alien beings with a huge fleet of planet-destroying spaceships can totally be stopped by a bunch of animals. The bad-guy aliens were cool, too, because they were slug-like things called Yeerks that could crawl into your ear and take over your body. To everyone else, you'd look and act normal, but really, it was a parasitic alien controlling you.

The best part was, since Animorphs was a series about people turning into animals, it opened the gateway for a great deal of lulzy and original jokes about furries and bestiality.

Jake, the leader of this heroic group, was a moralfag that spent the entire series being butthurt about his brother, Tom, who's body had been taken over by the aliens. Also, he is known to have a case of jungle fever, since the books made it perfectly clear that he spends all his free time fapping to Cassie.

Marco, who was the group's hilarious comic relief, was a major source of lulz throughout the entire series. Not only was he a spic, but he also managed to inspire an entire generation of 13 year old boys that thought people would like them if they refused to shut the fuck up and constantly make witty observations about everything, evar. His reason for sticking around was that he wanted to rescue his mother, who happened to be the SUPREME LEADER OF THE ALIENS INVADING EARTH.

Rachel, in a thousand words or less, was a loli. However, to keep her from being a Mary Sue, Applegate made her batshit insane.

Cassie was a tree-hugging nigger.

Tobias was an emo faggot who got himself turned into a hawk for keeps. He spent all his time feeling sorry for himself, and the books that took place from his perspective were at least 100% fucking boring tl;dr segments about hunting for mice and fighting seagulls.

Aximili Esgarouth Shatmil was the only true source of lulz in the entire series, because he would run around disguised as a human, stealing other peoples' food, and shouting retarded shit like "ZOMG TEH TASTE!!!!111 PLEEZ GIVE ME UR GLOBULES KTHXBAI". Since he had no mouth in his alien form, he was fascinated by the human sense of taste and was very fond of cinnamon buns, popcorn and cigarette ashes.

Animorphs was awesome up until the very very end, then it's officially agreed that it sucked dong. The writer, K.A. Applegate got lazy after becoming successful, and the last 40 or so books were written by ghostwriters. Also, ~~Rachel dies in the last book.~~ all the main characters die because Applegate couldn't think of any better way to end the series without the phrase "and they lived happily ever after." Lulzy also is that Applegate made the main characters die in a suicide bombing, as they flew their spaceship into the Yeerk mothership because they were too stupid to do anything else.

Animorphs was turned into a TV series on Nickelodeon, but was canceled last Thursday. The TV series was known for its high-budget special effects, such as using flashlights for laser guns. No, srsly.
