Early life
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Lovelace is a self-taught cartoonist. He presently lives in Connecticut.
Works
Lovelace's flash animations are featured on the comedy website Newgrounds. The most popular, Retarded Animal Babies, is one of the top draws at Newgrounds, with more than 3 million hits to date. It is notorious for foul language, violence and adult situations. Other flash cartoons produced by Lovelace include Sci-Fi Guys and Jot and Jab.
Lovelace has produced music videos for several artists, most notably Weird Al Yankovic. The video for Yankovic's song Virus Alert was created by Lovelace, for which he received a gold record.
Other websites using his animations include Fark (including a five-part cartoon about Farkman, a dim-witted superhero who thinks in Fark article tags)[2] and Camp Chaos.
He also produced artwork and animation for advertising and CD-ROM games, for clients including Paramount Pictures, Wonka Candies, Quest For Camelot by Warner Bros., Animaniacs, Fisher Price, National Lampoon, and the educational JumpStart series. His promotional comic strips for Hartford, CT rock station 106.9 WCCC run on an approximate monthly schedule in local CT publications.
Trivia
Lovelace is also a keyboard player. He presently plays synthesizers in a Connecticut-area band which specializes in covers of 1980s popular songs. He is also notorious in the music industry for creating the offensive cartoons (using RAB characters) decorating a few products by Metasonix, including their guitar amplifier, the Fucking Fucker, which caused a minor sensation at the 2008 Winter NAMM Show.
