ED:Lulzcon 09 planning

THIS IS A PIPE DREAM, IT IS NOT HAPPENING.


Lulzcon 2009 will be the 4th annual ED sponsored convention of those in favor of lulz. However, a lot of things need to be resolved. Most importantly, where it's gonna be held and who's gonna do the planning. So we enter stage 1 of Lulzcon 2009 planning: Where and by who? ARE THERE ANY MANSIONS OUT THERE?

Put what city you think it should be at (add new sections if you like) and put if you would be willing to take charge and plan this shit up in here.

If you are too stupid to remember to put your name or ~~~~ people will probably laugh at you and then not count your vote.

If more than one city has people that are gona show, there may or may not be more than one event.

As of latest disussion in IRC, a midsummer timeframe is being discussed. Nothing concrete yet. Regional get togethers of course will be whenever teh fuck the people in that area decide.


Atlanta, Ga

Idea for regional Atlanta area get together. dragoncon is going to be September 4 - September 7 for the 2009 con. EDiots in the area could meet up, bring sleeping bags, share the price of a motel room, and generaly troll the con attendees and generaly have fun. Tampa Bay area or Orlando

  • Tampa Bay area:This pretty much sums up Tampa,St.Petersburg,and Clearwater.Theirs Beaches,Bithches,Busch Gardens/Adventure Island, and lots of clubs and resturants and pretty much everything fun.And If planned correctly can happen exactly when Metrocon happpens(which already passed so fuck)
  • Orlando:only an hour from Tampa Bay and theirs an Anime convention about every month so not much planning needed for that part.And theirs probably at least a hundred(no seriously) theme parks in orlnado with half that you can get into for free.The shoppind district is really nice and c'mon people DISNEY WORLD!!That place is hella fun and you could troll little kids and their fat tourist parents.Or if your a cheap ass you can go to sea world but dont because it sucks.

Chicago IL

Just throwing out this shithole of a city. I know it's a major air-hub so I am going to ignorantly venture out and suggest that air-fare MAY be cheaper because of this. But again, I am ignorant. However, I see no interesting conventions in the near future, other than something about Jewish Libraries. Also, Midwest Fur 2009 has their failure of a gathering in November (even though we've discussed mid-summer was the preferred time). DO NOT WANT, but trolling opportunities there?   • Chicago is not as lulzy as its residents would have us believe, except when noggies stampede indoors and killtrample each other or are wrestled to the ground by Polack piggies. However, it is also the only "major" U.S. city that nobody would have to travel all the way across the cuntry to attend, and accommodations would be relatively cheap, especially in comparison to great locations like NYC. The aforementioned Midwest FurFest 2009 will be held in Wheeling, which is cheaper still; if Lulzcon could be held near their precious Hampton Inn & Suites Lincolnshire, the potential IRL trolling for those equipped with still and video cameras, signs, pies, dildos, semen, paint, motor oil and furry suits (for infiltration) could be enormous. But as mentioned before, the midsummer is preferred time. But if we decided on not-midsummer, Furfest is around Thanksgiving and it's supposed to be a pretty large gathering. I don't like Chicago, but it's better than St. Louis. At least in Chicago you can stop at a red light and not have your rims stolen. Also, for those of us that are poor, megabus is so fucking cheap it's not even funny. Plus megabus has stops and lines all over the Midwest and the Northeast.Twaflight799 01:36, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Central Region? Kansas City maybe?

This would more or less be a small scale version of Lulzcon. Plenty of places we could do this. I live in the Junction City area so the commute for anyone in this area (NorthEast Kansas) it wouldn't be bad. Just throwing it out there.--PokerFace 07:55, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Owatonna, MN

There was a little city called Owatonna, MN. She had an event center (4 Seasons Center) that was open to the public. She was a heavily republican town, filled with pockets of /b/tards. One of these /b/tards happens to be on city council.

If you guys are interested, I can look into helping get it set up here? Owatonna needs some commerce, and I'm sure onw of the local hotels (Probably holiday inn) would be willing to subsidize rates. We've used the 4 Seasons Center for the fair in the past, and its worked well fo4r an event holding 100,000, so I think an itsy thing like lulzcon would be fine.
