deviantART, one of the greatest sources of drama, has recently been organized into the deviantART Portal. Unfortunately, with such a large amount of drama, failed attempts at articles, attempts at violating NYPA, etc. have made this one of the largest sources of AIDS on ED. After seeing the success of the first ED improvement drive as well as the YouTube Improvement Drive, it was decided that deviantART definitely needed one. This page contains detailed instructions, as well as links, to pages to help you help us. The youtube improvement drive was used as an inspiration for this page, note the similarities, you dumb fucks.

DO NOT WANT
The following stuff is useless in articles, and adds to the unfunny levels. You can help us by removing it. If you see that you're putting this in your articles a lot, you might just be Unfunny. Don't worry though, while a cure is still not yet known, there are very effective treatments, looky here: ED:101, ED:ABOUT, ED:LULZ, and ED:CRAP, we know, they're usually for new users, but re-read and absorb them.
A billion templates
Listen, templates are fine, and fun. But really anything other than the series template(s), and important notices (i.e. {{baleetplz}}, {{crap}}, etc.) should be avoided on the pages. Especially things like {{spoiler}}, {{fact}}, and {{warning}}, the latter two which have already been deleted due to misuse.
Over 9000 memes
See that? That wasn't very funny, right? Same thing in the articles. Try piping the links, so for example "[[Over 9000|too many]]" keeps the article looking like it was written by a sane person, while still providing links to those memes that we all embrace far too much.
Giant fucking gallery
Alright, you should upload images to the server, all articles need lots of pix. But here's some guide rules to follow when uploading images:
- Upload enough, but then be stingy to avoid clogging up the article
- If you have more than like 10 images in the gallery section of the article, use the {{cg}} (collapsible gallery) template.
Make sure they're worth it
Listen, dA is chock full of tracers, and lol-cows, attention whores, and everything else. There are a SHIT-TON of shitty, useless articles already in the system, these WILL be tagged and deleted in the coming weeks. We want epic lol-cows along the lines of Snapesnogger, DivineAngel, and others. If in doubt, check with the Tsars, or post it on Portal:DeviantART/Needed, where it will be reviewed.

ED is NOT the place to post dox. Dox are NOT allowed on ED. srsly, you WILL be banned.

This one's really easy. ED is here to document lulz, we don't give a fuck that OMG you had a little spat with random tartlet #8823131, alright? See the above "Make Sure they're worth it" section for more information regarding this.

If you mark something for deletion, add it here so that we can keep track of these things easier.
{{daid}} (Delete Soon)
This template is used to mark shitty dA-related pages for deletion. It gives users a 2 week grace period to fix their article, or have it moved into their userspace, before it's baleeted. It has to be substed, (i.e {{subst:daid}} for it to work properly. Shorter template name coming soon.

This template is to be used on any shitty dA pages that have been cuntpasted to the creator's supbage, or are just totally hopeless. Syntax is really easy on this one: {{daid2}}

Moved Notification
Coming soon, template will notify the user that their article has been moved to their userspace, and inform them to stop failing.

The deviantART category is full of so much shit, and we won't tolerate it, or any extra shit on top of it. We'll delete the articles, move them to your userspace, anything that needs to be done.
