- ED's spam blacklist is Spam blacklist. This list doesn't seem based on wikimedia's. It comes from a random website. It should, though, include Wikia's ones http://www.wikia.com/wiki/Spam_Blacklist which it doesn't currently. RoundHouseKickToTheFace 02:28, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

I think the one for Wikia is safe, though. Wikia gets tons of linkspam, so they have to keep their spam blocklist trimmed so there shouldn't have stuff there just because an admin hates it. I think ED's spam list doesn't even block sites like tinyurl.com, which are used to bypass spam filters. RoundHouseKickToTheFace 03:40, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
The Spam Blacklist plugin can source external blacklists separately from the Spam blacklist page, based on config settings. So it may be using other blacklists and non-admins wouldn't know it. --Neurophyre 03:44, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Please to be reviewing User:Yirimyah/SugMig for possible approval/allocation of an "ED:" page, ie "ED:MIGRANT". BTW, my current project is to redo the entire welcome system, in order to get people to read what they want to read. Most migrant users, for example, are unlikely to bother to read ED:BASIC, because they assume they know it all already. Ideally, I'd like to end up with a Welcome template with different links for different categories of users
Example:
- You're a vandal? Please read ED:VIP and then become an hero.
- You've changed to ED from a lesser wiki? Please read ED:MIGRANT.

This is out of control. I think the recent spate of article deletion, many images have become unlinked. One of the problems I have with placing these orphans is that whoever uploaded them gave them no context, and so I have no clue what the intent was, and they typically do not work (for me) in most locations. Which is all to say HELP. I've deleted a number of them today, but STILL THEY REMAIN.
