My fellow EDiots, the time has come for us to come together and show our unity by making a grand article, capping the great lulz which we have tapped in this great term. Some things we need to cover:

  • 80% Dramatic events, lulzy ones weighted up
  • 10% Encyclopedia Dramatica in general (users/sysops/powers/etc) - alot of lulz users have joined and we shouldn't leave our greats EDiots out.
  • 5% Memes
  • 5% Maybe a few good IRL headlines if they have an Internet Connection. (lulzcon, maf54, etc)

I don't know if anyone is actually working on anything at all for this game, but I've started learning game design in Micro$oft's new XNA platform and could probably do a lot of the coding for this game after a few weeks/months of experience. The thing I'm working on atm (basically adding stuff onto the tutorial code) looks like it was made in Game Maker but is actually turning pretty fun. Anyway, just suggesting that in case nobody is actually doing anything for it, coding in XNA could work out well. In my humble not-a-sysop opinion, if the problem is that too many articles are non-internet related, we should tag and delete more stuff.     • Well, stuff is usually kept if it's really funny, but most of them time when I tag something it's because it's extremely not fitting with the rest of the site. And music (like Scott Stapp) is waaaay an exception, because music has automatic internets relevance because it's so important to the internet. (Most of our music articles are/were unfunny, but that's a seperate issue). I've tagged music stuff with that template where I prolly shouldn't have, but in most cases the article is shit. Abort, retry, fail, sounds good, I'll back you on this. Now, we need to standardize this shit. I think we are best off if we use Chat, because not all lol convos are through IRC. Here is my draft.

  • Series template will be Template:Chat Logs
  • All Logs will be placed in {{articlename}}/Chat log. If they are not located in /Chat log, simply make sure the /Chat logs subpage redirections, #REDIRECT {{articlename}}/Chat log.
  • We are going to need people to make sure the logs are readable, nigger-work. We want to make sure we not only archive our logs, but make it readable for the lulz.
  • Important: We need to make sure the actual logs are physically at articlename/Chat logs if we are linking through it. The series templates will not pick up a redirect for an active wikilink.

Considering the onslaught of wanting for support for ED, I really think Encyclopedia Dramatica:Support ED#Features needs updating. 4800 MB disk space really sounds pissy compared to the 200 GB + extra 1 GB a month it is now; same for 120 GB/2 TB + extra 16 GB a month for bandwidth. Also, number of email accounts and one click installs are way out of date. Someone with opz plz read this and make the necessary changes --Æinsidler 12:17, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

This doesn't really require adminly attention but I figured this would be a great place to thank everyone who contributes to this wonderful patch of internet literture. Particularly those of you who upload images. Thanks to your awesome contributions, my resignation letter to my manager today was that much more effective.
