Encyclopedia Dramatica:Youtube is gonna be our guinea pig for some specialized bureaus on ED. I'm thinking we need an LJ one and perhaps *chan etc etc but don't make those without talking to me first.

Anywho, so basically the way this'll work is there'll be someone in charge of that department of ED (no we're not splitting ED into red vs blue vs green, it's just for those areas where we can centralize the topic a bit, that is to say it's casual) and then have an incoming lulz section, a needs to be rewritten section, and an outbox of processed articles. Nothing unusual about that, but these people do major research on each other and spread their findings in dozens of newsgroups, Wikipeed pages, their blogs and other sites they run, and anywhere else they can think of. Their names are Cheryl Merrill and Edmond Wollmann. Cheryl is a "professional singer" and legal secretary in San Francisco. Edmond is a "professional astrologer," a spammer of some kind, and long-time Usenet person. Violet Blue is somehow involved, apparently even making a harassing midnight phone call to Cheryl. Violet might be Edmond's girlfriend. Funny!

A woman who went to inquire about a nanny job advertised online was found dead in the trunk of her car, police said.

The body of Katherine Ann Olson, 24, was found in her car at a Burnsville park late Friday, Police Capt. David Muelken said. She was last seen by friends Thursday morning, when she went to meet someone in Savage about a nanny job. Investigators said she had found the ad on the Internet bulletin board Craigslist.org.

A 19-year-old Savage man who police believe placed the ad was being held pending charges, police said. Authorities did not release his name but said charges could be filed as soon as Sunday.

"We're confident we have the suspect in custody," Muelken said.

Muelken declined to say how Olson was killed or what the motive may have been.

A Savage resident found Olson's purse in a garbage can at Pacer Park. A police officer, thinking it may have been stolen, left a message at Olson's home saying police had the purse, Muelken said. Olson's roommate called back to say Olson hadn't been seen since 8 a.m. Thursday when she went to interview for the job.

Rechecking the garbage can, police found a bag containing a bloody towel, Muelken said. A State Patrol helicopter pilot noticed a car in the parking lot of Rudy Kraemer Nature Preserve in Burnsville, a few blocks from Pacer Park. Police identified the car as Olson's, and found her body in the trunk, he said.

Olson was a 2002 graduate of Park-Cottage Grove High School, where she was co-valedictorian, and from St. Olaf College in 2006.

Olson's family told the newspaper she had taken nanny jobs at least twice before, including a job in Turkey, after answering online ads.

A 24-year-old New York City man remains jailed after he was found allegedly having sex with a 92-year-old woman's corpse inside the morgue of the hospital where he worked.

Anthony Merino, who works as a lab technician at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, N.J., was arrested Sunday after police responded to a call from a security guard at the hospital. The guard reported witnessing the lab technician sexually desecrating the woman's dead body, according to police.

In a special Internet announcement in Arabic, picked up DEBKAfile’s counter-terror sources, Osama bin Laden’s followers announced Monday, Oct. 29, the launching of Electronic Jihad. On Sunday, Nov. 11, al Qaeda’s electronic experts will start attacking Western, Jewish, Israeli, Muslim apostate and Shiite Web sites. On Day One, they will test their skills against 15 targeted sites expand the operation from day to day thereafter until hundreds of thousands of Islamist hackers are in action against untold numbers of anti-Muslim sites.

DEBKAfile’s counter-terror sources report that, shortly after the first announcement, some of al Qaeda’s own Web sites went blank, apparently crashed by the American intelligence computer experts tracking them.

The next day, Oct. 30, they were up again, claiming their Islamic fire walls were proof against infidel assault.

They also boasted an impenetrable e-mail network for volunteers wishing to join up with the cyber jihad to contact and receive instructions undetected by the security agencies in their respective countries.

Our sources say the instructions come in simple language and are organized in sections according to target. They offer would-be martyrs, who for one reason or another are unable to fight in the field, to fulfill their jihad obligations on the Net. These virtual martyrs are assured of the same thrill and sense of elation as a jihadi on the “battlefield.”

In effect, say DEBKAfile’s counter-terror experts, al Qaeda is retaliating against Western intelligence agencies’ tactics, which detect new terrorist sites and zap them as soon as they appear. Until now, the jihadists kept dodging the assault by throwing up dozens of new sites simultaneously. This kept the trackers busy and ensured that some of the sites survived, while empty pages were promptly replaced. But as al Qaeda’s cyber wizards got better at keeping its presence on the Net for longer periods, so too did Western counter-attackers at knocking them down. Now Bin Laden’s cyber legions are fighting back. The electronic war they have declared could cause considerable trouble on the world’s Internet.
