Fanlistings

Fanlistings are places where fantards can proudly proclaim for all the internets to see that they are a member of whatever their favorite fandom might be. Typically, FLs are about specific characters in a TV show or animu, but they've spread to just about everything now, from inanimate objects to sexual positions. There is some debate over what is a viable fanlisting topic (ie: Jack Sparrow's beard braids). These discussions usually end up in a flame war on messages boards and/or through personal emails.

Fanlistings (or the shortened "FLs") were created at least 100 years ago by overweight Buffy the Vampire Slayer fangirls who had nothing better to do than create a giant network of small pointless websites about their favorite fandoms. This infectious trend spread to the masses of other various fandoms and eventually animu. The single network then split into two separate networks: The Fanlistings Network (which is at least 100% of all fanlistings online) and The Anime Fanlistings Network (for all the Wapanese people).
