Since the beginning of the Internets, there have been many advances in means of communication amongst its users, including Instant Messenging, Email and websites. However, within the last several years, group forms where people with common interests talk about particular subjects called forums have grown in popularity. Nowadays, many people own forums (as there are many free services with which to establish one) in relation to many subjects, from Computer Help to insects.
Forums are useful creations in that they're usually quicker than E-mail, and, thus similar to Instant Messaging. You can meet a lot of people with shared interests, but on a much more moderated, controlled level. One can receive information about their latest obsession and make new friends while doing it, in essence becoming a part of the community.
However, with this wonderful creation comes the typical problems usually found residing through chatrooms and instant messaging services: Trolls, Flame-baiters, and Spammers. On top of these very irritating problems, there exists slightly less (or perhaps even moreso, varying from community to community) annoyances: Serial Forum Go-ers, These are people who ask the same questions without listening to advice, and people who are starved for attention. They are usually feared more than the spammer, troll or flame-baiter, as they usually cause disruption and irritation within even the tamest of posters, causing the community to be up-in-arms regarding the entire situation.

One notorious serial forum go-er is GrantM, also known as GrantM1 and GrantM13459. What makes him so noteable is that he signs up at many forums with only one purpose: to use people and whine about not being an Anime Voice Actor. At these particular forums, he will ask the same questions, looking for different answers. He has always sought out "professional connections," so that he may use them to try to "break into" the field of professional voiceover work. In one specific forum, the Voice Acting Alliance, he created an uproar over a young lady making it into the field, claiming it was unfair. This, among many other irritations, granted him the title of "Fastest Ban" at the forum.
The prime reasons for him not being an Anime Voice Actor are as follows:
- he has an uncanny talent for causing drama of some kind wheresoe'er he goes;
- for all he's from Glasgow, Scotland, he speaks with a really whiny, high-pitched, faux-American accent;
- without exception, everyone who has come into contact with him in any way, shape or form thinks he's a cunt.

Having been sighted at more than five forums, his situation is not to be taken lightly. He has been banned, several times, from one specific forum: Anime on DVD, as well as a quick ban from the aforementioned Voice Acting Alliance. His current forums of residency are the Toonzone forums, The Anime News Network forums, Anime-England, The Glasgow Anime forum, The Newgrounds forums, and the Ayacon forums, as well as Anime England IRC where he pops up from time to time inducing many Lulz.
In addition to his forum antics, he has also been sighted at Livejournal, where he hopes that professional voiceover artists and the casting studios ADV and FUNimation will discover him and hire him for lead roles in "Fan Favorite" Anime series.
He attended Auchinawa (http://www.auchinawa.org.uk/), a Scottish anime convention in 2006, but sadly there was no reported nervous breakdown. Just a lot of nervous walking around, asking gophers questions with blatantly obvious answers then getting unnecessarily defensive when given said answers, and looking over his shoulder a hell of a lot like he had something to hide. The only recorded lulz coming from a video of him DDRing.

Popular topics of his include his obsession with becoming a voiceover talent, his constant need to point out his supposed Asperger's Syndrome, his desire for a Playboy Model-type girlfriend, and age and gender in relation to voice acting.
His topics become repetitive and irritating, and forum users are advised that he is to be approached with caution. He is making quite the name for himself throughout various communities, such as "Cats on Mars' F*ckin' Otaku!" and "Fandom Wank", to name a few. Administrators and Moderators are advised to keep watch for him, and others like him, lest their forum be divided by aggravation.

GrantM created two new journals, GrantM1 and gmvox, but has since deleted both. His original journal, grantm, was deleted, but made a comeback shortly after "grantm1" surfaced. They both whine about the same topic: not being a professional voice actor.
However, within the last few days, GrantM has taken it upon himself to start a Role Playing Journal in which he writes about his career as a voice actor for ADV, claiming to best some of the more known male voice actors, as well as the female voice actors. Recently, in a fit of insanity, he deleted all entries in his 'gmvox' journal and ranted and raved about how he was afraid of never being a voice actor for ADV - his sole reason for creating the journal.
In 2008, GrantM (under the username GrantM1) posted around six videos on Youtube where he bared his soul to the internet, realised the internet never cared, and subsequently deleted said videos. Stand out videos included his aspirations to become a voice actor for the Simpsons, the reasons that everyone should watch the new Star Trek and a scathing critique of Chris Crocker's rise to fame. Notably, the content was wholeheartedly lulzworthy, particularly when he bounced from happy go lucky to manic depressive without his voice changing key.

The lulz didn't end here, only the video did. Grant continued onward to lick the floor, eat from bins and strip half-naked. Following this party Grant swore to never drink again
