Hot or Not
From Encyclopedia Dramatica
Hot or Not is yet another Web 1.0 site which the citizens of Encyclopedia Dramatica did not give a fuck about for at least three and a half years. Describing itself as "the original online service where you can rate photos, find singles for dating, and meet women or men", it is much like that thing on Stile Project back in the day where you could click a photo and rate it out of 10 and you'd move on to the next photo. Main difference is that Stile Project never catered for the easily offended, and always had gore and fucked up shit, whereas Hot or Not just has pics of people's faces, and doesn't even have any nudes and as such, fails miserably. Except for face-painters of course.
As with many of these camwhore sites, Hot or Not features all the usual gimmicks - fat girl angle shots, whores with unwarranted self-importance, guys who think they're "studs" - and they all check their profile rating at least once every 12 hours at the absolute maxminimum. Their self-esteem is paramount to them, and you can troll them by letting them know how ugly they really are by giving them a "1".
The site actually gets really annoying if you take it seriously, because we all know that it is meaningless to attempt to quantify beauty with mere numbers, although some argue that there is a formula going on facial symmetry to objectively determine attractiveness, but nobody cares. Additionally, the so-called "official score" is almost always inflated astronically to the point of inducing lulz, with old hags, nasty skanks, and arrogant douchebags averaging around 9.5.
