Did you know that ED discovered that Poetlister's supposed friends were all sock puppets in September 2007; we scooped everyone by a year! No need to thank us.

Poetlister is the malevolent entity that controlled Poetlister, Runcorn, Taxwoman, Cato and Guy accounts, as well as an army of other personalities and sock puppets on various websites including Wikipedia, Wikipedia Review, Wipipedia, Wikisource, Wikiquote, and Wikinfo, which included at least 1 admin-level account on each (2 on Wikisource and Wikipedia Review). He even made a brief incursion into our own Encyclopedia Dramatica in the aftermath of The beautiful people article.

While the countless hours spent pretending to be various people, mostly women, all with fictitious relationships to each other suggests an evil artificial intelligence, this was in fact pulled off by a lonely British civil servant named Michael Baxter with way too much time and a long history of impersonating women on the Internet. Instead of a cute young statistician (Poetlister), or a sultry Indian beauty obsessed with BDSM (Taxwoman), we got a 52 year old career statistician heavily into crossdressing, bondage, and a whole host of weird sexual peccadillos. While aging men pretending to be girls OTI is not news to anyone, that he was able to maintain the charade over four years is notable, even more so when you consider that he successfully deceived hundreds of people dumb enough to fall for a pretty face in .jpg form. He even seduced Jorge, a stalwart of masculinity, turning him into a glorified errand boy. This of course was surprising since the Poetlister persona had a very dull personality. Blissyu2 had a neutral investigation which SlimVirgin and Poetlister both thought was too far away from their own views, now held at User:Zordrac/Poetlister.

Poetlister's fatal mistake was using pictures of real people he knew. For example, his female alter ego "RachelBrown" was actually the owner of a transvestite dressing store he patronized. As a result of this error, the boyfriend of the women whose photos he used as Taxwoman sent an email to Wikipedia, and Poetlister was busted. Normally people who do this are just told to fuck off and he was in 2006, just typically, it took the Wikipedia admins two years to realize that this shit just didn't add up.

The reason that this is so shocking and disgusting, is that he posted pictures of women that he'd met at one time, claiming to be them, and claiming that they had fantasies of being raped, amongst other various disturbing things. Is this awesome y/n?

[edit] Our story

SlimVirgin, archnemesis of Poetlister.
SlimVirgin, archnemesis of Poetlister.

This whole mess began way back in 2005. Poetlister was using socks to edit war with Lulu of the Lotus-Eaters and SlimVirgin over the "List of Jewish jurists" page. Yes, all this drama started over lists of Jews. Poetlister was adding names from people they knew from boarding school, which is of course total bullshit, original research, a gross violation of Wikipedia Policy, blah blah blah. As people who oppose Slim have a funny way of getting CheckUsered, Poetlister got caught by Jayjg and Kelly Martin, and since all the Wikipedia Jews were having a very nice Christmas, spending it flexing their wiki Jewry e-penises, David Gerard banned Poetlister on Christmas Day. Because Wikipedia is disorganized as fuck, and full of lonely virgins, it only took a few days for Poetlister to get someone to unban with her feminine wiles (a.k.a pretty picture), they were even tricked into unbanning Poetlister's sock army. Oops!

Next Poetlister turned their attention to the Wikipedia Review. He was one of the first members of the site, joining it after Amalekite, a troll who was banned for posting a list of Wikipedians he believed were Jews on the Stormfront website, founded it. He and Blissyu2, as an indication of how serious you should take that site, debated reporting SlimVirgin to the Jewish Council in Australia, and set up a poll as to wherever the Mossad would kill or jail Slim after they did so. SlimVirgin would later report that they even went so far as to leave a bullet in her mailbox as a warning to step the fuck off.

However, his account "Guy," now a moderator, was mainly a vehicle to push his Zionist views. Whenever someone tried to discuss Palestians, or editors trying to add the truth about apartheid in Palestine on wiki, or if anyone wanted to discuss the Wikipedia Jews, Guy would complain, immediately move the discussion to a hidden page, and make sure the complainers never reemerged. Additionally, WR admin Lir promoted the "Poetlister" account to administrator access because she had a "pretty face." Jesus, with leadership like that, is it any wonder that they let Poetlister take over their site. Lir then spent the time flirting with her until it grew to severe sexual harassment and so Somey had to ban Lir and he put the blame on some unrelated political argument thread Lir participated in that was over 50 pages long and nobody outside three people read.

By 2007, Poetlister's sock puppetry on TOW had reached pandemic levels with at least 100 sock puppets including an admin Runcorn. Finally realizing that they had a problem, the Arbitration Committee dropped the banhammer. Fool me once, fool me twice...somebody getting caught twice should be a pretty good indication that they were up to no good. However, the perpetual victims at the Review were not convinced, despite it being obvious "Poetlister" and "Guy" were the same person: there are pictures, Guy is actually a relative of her's and Guy traveled back in time and became his own grandfather...Assume good faith!

Poetlister even uploaded their supposed tits in an attempt to bribe the incorruptible Dramacrats.
Poetlister even uploaded their supposed tits in an attempt to bribe the incorruptible Dramacrats.

Now while we can kind of understand not trusting the Bureaucratic fucks in spite of overwhelming evidence, in August 2007 an absolutely trustworthy source would find incontrovertible proof of cockpuppetry. Blissyu2 in an event not related at all to any of his other behavior, overdosed on childrens' Tylenol and while tripping balls accidentally created the beautiful people article in a series of 20 edits and 5 image uploads. Enraged at his storybook creations getting Dramouted, Poetlister went whining to her fan club on WR and had all of his personas come raid ED. Despite being an experienced troll and liar, Poetlister failed to anticipate the backraid and all her account were caught by Blu Aardvark editing from the same ip address! The Poet myth was finally exposed. Despite the truth being rung from every blog to the Administrators' noticeboard, nobody believed us, one of the downsides of having a sterling reputation.

In September 2008, Poetlister's subterfuge finally became so obvious that not even the Wikipedia Review could it ignore any longer. By May 2008, the ArbCom had determined the Poetlister had putzed around enough on WikiQuote, one of TOW's worthless sister projects, to merit an unban for good behavior parole. When he crowed about this minor victory to his WR cronies, Thekohser commented that it was more of a defeat as editing TOW is a pointless use of time. Poetlister then went insane and waged a many month war on the site, culminating in Poetlister using their staff powers to delete all posts by the Guy account. After supposedly leaving, he continued to troll the Review with socks Taxwoman and Yehudi, this pissed off Proabivouac who investigated and posted a devastating exposure of all his e-crimes. The game was up, FT2 wrote up a TL;DR report for Jimbo Wales, and Somey locked down all of his WR accounts.

In the end, we can conclude that the British government really has no idea what their employees do during work hours.

Also Michael Baxter.
Also Michael Baxter.
  • Almost all of the moderator's and administrator's accounts on WR
  • At least 4 other WR accounts (Kato, Shalom, Yehudi and more)
  • Administrator on WikiSource
  • Administrator and Bureaucrat on Wikiquote.
  • Several administrators on Wikiquote
  • Inspiring over 1000 shocked and tearful posts on Wikipedia Review; being a Zionist site the last of it was all how he was "really OK, y'know? We all love this cunt. I mean a big-time official agent of Israel, well, you never can question that, now, can you?"
  • Breaking the hearts of naive ED users like Ritegroic and Kevman459, just chasing a real good whipping (both woke up a little later).

This is the Review avatar of Jorge, the gullible idiot who fell for the PoetHorde. After realizing he had been masturbating to a sock puppet for three years, he committed seppuku and disappeared forever from the Internet.

It says here that you blocked Newport because of what Poetlister wrote on Wikipedia Review. You're aware that User:Newport and User:Poetlister are different people, right?[1]

I apologize to Poetlister and all the other parties unfairly besmirched in this incident. There's nothing I can do at this point to materially alter the outcome or remediate it now, but at least the truth is out.

Kelly Martin, fucking it up.

There is no doubt they were all separate users. There was no big mystery about why they all shared ips at various points- Londoneye was the cousin of and Newport was the flatmate of Rachel and Poetlister and Taxwoman are Rachel's friends. They just used the fact that all sometime's edited from Rachel's flat and used that as an excuse to ban them.

Guy is a friend of Rachel Brown's father - I think you do not understand that Rachel actually had a breakdown because of what went on on Wikipedia- Newport is Rachel's flatmate Lisa who agreed to look after and contribute to the articles that Rachel had created after she left.

The evidence of Poetlister's innocence, taken as a whole, is rock-solid. I've come full circle. I began this discussion a month ago thinking Poetlister was 100% guilty. Now I know she's 100% innocent. The claim that Runcorn's alleged sockpuppets never, or almost never, interleaved edits with one another is demonstrably false. The claim that Runcorn's sockpuppets never, or almost never, voted against one another is demonstrably false. I have demonstrated these points to Poetlister in private correspondence.

Shalom

O Rly? [2],[3],

[edit] Post Outing

So far Mr. Baxter has been trying his upmost to deflect the blame onto others, going as far as an attempt to googlebomb a different Michael Baxter to the top of the pile [4] [5]. Due to said Mr. Baxter being a butthurt little bitch about getting caught, he posted a self-congratulatory apology listing all of his sock puppets and how sincerely sorry he was about everything.

Mr. Baxter who instead of being knighted for his lulzy trolling and drama, was instead fired from his job for it, despite that it had nothing to do with his job.

[edit] Oopsies

A few weeks after it was posted, Blissyu2 noticed that the Google docs statements had been corrected to accuse Blissyu2 of being behind the whole thing [6]. So Blissyu2 tried to correct it by trying to contact the people responsible [7] and writing corrections [8], but all over the place Alison was there to stop him [9] and went on a campaign insisting that, by daring to ask someone to correct something that they said which blamed the entire incident on him, that therefore Blissyu2 was guilty of horrible crimes against someone that does not exist (in spite of stating very clearly "any similarities with any persons living or dead are entirely coincidental"). So on 23rd September 2008, Blissyu2 wrote his own Google document [10] to state very clearly the corrections. Determined to muddy the waters further, Alison decided to push it into TL;DR territory in the hope that nobody would notice it by making up more shit about it [11]. Thanks, largely, to Blissy's overreaction and easy trollification, the entire site has lately turned into Lulz Central. Be sure to pay a visit!!
