Rowell Garcia is a New Jersey college student who, due to some some mass failing of the universe, has been given his own show on his college television station. On each of his poorly thought out comedy segments, he takes on irrelevant subjects completely outside of his knowledge or expertise. Each of these begins with Rowell (AKA Esteban) ranting in an attempt to rationalize his inability to find or maintain social context, and all end on a depressing note. His rants include: how Guitar Hero has ruined other people's interests in his own awful guitar playing; how being single on Valentine's Day is far advantageous to being a couple due to impending strikes from the Golden Girls; how chocolate is a terrible gift on Valentine's Day; and why pregnant women are ugly.

HISTORY

In 2007, while the documentary "Maybe Next Year: Rebuilding RCTV" was in production Rowel stopped by the RCTV office, located in H-217 on Ramapo Campus. For the first time Rowel was documented giving the creepy and now infamous "locked out by a lesbian" speech to Christian Larson (Who would go on to lead RCTV as President in the 2007-2008 season). Rowel's speech went on for nearly 30 minutes, only 1-2 minutes of which were understandable. While the footage ultimately was never used and has since been lost, legend has it that Rowel Show Producer Larson was at that moment both inspired and determined to give Rowel Garcia the now infamous, barely understandable "Rowel"

TRIVIA

Rowel Garcia, in real life attended RCTV events for only several minutes usually and would then leave. If he was not there for only the beginning he would appear at the end of each event when everyone would be trying to leave.

Rowel is the only member of the 2007 - 2008 RCTV team to NOT make a live appearance on any of the 4 2008 live shows or 1st Annual Rammy Awards special.

Rowel was nominated for the 1st annual "Worst Show" award AND "Best Show " award but was ultimately beaten by sloppy horse (Worst) and Todd and Akmed (best).

Other than the "Scott Stanchak Show" Rowel has the longest running taped series ever to air on RCTV (4 Episodes).

Rowel Garcia made an appearance as both himself and as Santa Clause on the 1st Annual RCTV Christmas Special.

Rowel (playing Santa Clause) was the only member of RCTV to be Censored during the RCTV special. Considering the special included sexual humor, blatant ani-semitic humor, a drunken Jesus dueling a modern Jesus with candy canes, and other content that was questionable to be broadcast Rowel's remarks being ommited was quite unheard of for RCTV. Rowel's remarks about Santa bring fried chicken to hurricane Katrina victims made the RCTV Christmas special only the 2nd show to have content censored. The first was the "I'm as hard as...." segment from shock comedy show "Nothing Feminine".

Rowel Garcia actually took his show quite seriously and was reportedly very detailed with his instructions for props, costumes, segment content and post production choices. Crew members reportedly did not find this show to be as serious and were reportedly prone to fits of hysteria because of Rowels lack of connection to the real world and word fumbles.

The final Rowel Episode prior to the show being canceled (aka Rowel graduated) was never aired. Due to technical problems the studio and usual crew were unavailable. Producer Larson attempted a green screen in the RCTV office but it did not turn out to be as a high quality a program as the previous episodes.

Rowell also joined (annoyed) the college's nerd fag club the Science Fiction & Comic Book Club (they're gay fanfiction is better than your's)to the point where they started ignoring him as well, not before a member unwittingly dubbed him "Esteban".
