Stevie Wonder
From Encyclopedia Dramatica
The esteemed Stevie Wonder (OBE) is best known for his important contribution to the snack food industry.
Prior to 1948 no one had ever heard of crisps, and theatre goers, pub patrons and television viewers around the world had to choose between freeze dried centipedes or dry biscuits to accompany their beer. Stevie Wonder (relatively unknown at that point in time) had a brain wave, while re-potting perennials in his garden shed. A new miracle snack food made out of humble potatoes. After a great deal of experimentation, he devised the perfect formula for his new crisps and started selling them in paper bags from a tea trolley on the street in front of his house.
The crisps became very popular in Stevie's neighbourhood, and with all the money he made he opened a small factory called The Wonder Crisp Factory. Orders came in from all over the country. Stevie quickly grew very rich, and being a big show off, he built an even bigger factory. It was made entirely from solid gold. He called his new factory Golden Wonder.
Golden Wonder continues to make a range of potato-themed snack foods today which are as popular as ever.
