Talk:B4b0
From Encyclopedia Dramatica
Article is just a link to downed site. I have no idea if this is worth it or not. I vote Delete.
- from what I know, #b4b0 is linked to #bantown in some way.
- #b4b0 is ancient, like almost a decade old and has nothing to do with #bantown except that we took it over a couple times and now they hate us. it was the IRC channel for an old hacker zine. there was lots of drama, an article on this has potential. I sort of doubt chrak's ability to get it done right. I'll make it stubworthy for now, I guess. PS sign ur msgz fgtz. --Weev 20:52, 29 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- This has turned into an article about one b4b0 member: ohday. Some of the stuff about him should be taken out, so that the article is about b4b0. --2000spun 13:38, 9 Feb 2009 (PST)
Not ~Exactly~ Accurate
"at that time (1998) heap-based buffer overflows weren't yet being exploited"
Maybe not on the mass/script kiddie level, but heap overflows have been documented and fully understood since like...the 70s. And since then there have been hundreds, if not thousands of people who have tinkered and hacked around with the shit, not simply from an exploit perspective but from preventative perspectives as well (mostly natural, non-exploit based). --TresMalNon 07:29, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
