We have some imposters in the UK who have setup as britchan.co.uk and are trying to spam these pages.
Since britchan.org died, most of us decamped to britfa.gs and are a year old now. We're also known as britchan.net
Our apologies for this faggotry, there now appears to be a minor edit war going on.

The cold hard truth- .co.uk is the One True Britchan
Speaking as an old school Britchanner and someone who has witnessed all of the history, this whole situation is incredibly petty and quite annoying now, TBH. Here's the cold hard truth:
britfa.gs was around before Britchan was taken down 'for good'. When britchan disappeared, its users moved to britfa.gs, who set up a 'Britchan' board (/iq/) as a temporary home for the refugees (it was known all along that Britchan would be brought back by someone else). The problem now is that it took so long for britchan to come back (due to domain squatting faggotry etc) the users of britfa.gs have gotten comfortable there, and the mods have gotten it into their heads that /iq/ (and indeed the rest of the site) is Britchan. It's not. It never was. It was always a seperate site, /iq/ was always just a temporary measure.
Britchan.co.uk IS pretty much the original Britchan, the only thing that's different is the domain (.co.uk due to someone sitting on .org), the layout and boards are pretty much the same. The proof of the pudding lies with the reaction of britfa.gs mods; britchan.co.uk is a blacklisted site and they will not allow it to be posted on britfa.gs. BUTTHURT. They don't want everyone to go back there, although although a lot of people have already moved back, due mainly to the rise in cancer on britfa.gs with annoying forced memes like the 'Mansfield Massive'.
Britfa.gs mods- accept it. You were a temporary solution to a temporary problem. People will still go to your site, and you were a good shelter when we needed you, but you are NOT and never will be the true Britchan. So accept it with good grace and stop acting so butthurt. - You own a domain name that is similar to but not the same as the domain name of the former chan Britchan.org. Britchan.org died earlier this year and the admins both disappeared into the ether. If you want to set up a Britchan inspired chan then good luck to you, maybe put a little note at the end of this page. But to call yourself THA TRU BRITCHAN is ridiculous. You have no connection with that site apart from the fact that you browsed it a bit. If anything, britfa.gs has more of a claim to the BRITCHAN LEGACY because some of its mods are ex britchan mods. This page should just be about the old britchan.org, with maybe a little note about Britchan's successors at the end. I admit, the link to britchan.net (which redirects to britfa.gs) is misleading, as is the list of britfa.gs boards in the middle of an article about britchan.org. Brucie 21:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
