I love that her page on Wikipedia still has a message to urge you to donate. Please give money to a seasoned criminal and convicted thief! They've done their usual of locking and covering up when things start to look bad. Delete and hide everything and we can pretend it's all okay! LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. I hope they find someone good enough to cook the books and hide those donations that are bound to be missing. Great to know we can really trust them, both the quality staff members they hire and the way they always keep everyone informed about important issues by not mentioning them at all for months. Oh how I lol'd at this. Cubist 23:44, 13 December 2007 (CST)

She might have also helped poison someone and her husband mysteriously drowned

Spotted on wikipedia:

"She was also the roommate of a woman who poisoned a man in 1994 to get his life insurance money, and the jury heard testimony that she was an indirect accomplice to it. The free version is here, but does not mention her name. By request, I can e-mail anyone who wants the full copy (which does mention her name). Also, if anyone has LexisNexis, they can easily get the copy

A former roommate of Betancourt's, Sterling resident Carolyn Bothwell, testified yesterday that Betancourt told her in July 1994 that Montague "won't be around in September to worry about."

And something else that may or may not be influential, in 1999 her husband died on their honeymoon in an apparent drowning, but the coroner's office didn't determine how. As like always, you can find it on LexisNexis, Washington Post obituaries, November 13, 1999, Metro, page B6."

This gets better and better!
