Talk:Damaron

From Encyclopedia Dramatica

Jump to: navigation, search

lol hai, discussion goes here. Do not turn the article itself into a raid board, the talk page is A-OK though. Also a quick reminder to any /b/rothers who find their way here. Having actual dox on site is a no-no, but uploading dox to something like google docs and then linking to that off of this page is kosher. --Drunkenlazybastard 23:07, 10 January 2008 (CST)

What about the address information in the picture displaying his house number? We're crossing into enough gray areas as it is. --2407 anon 00:33, 11 January 2008 (CST)

A few questions.

Where's the drama? This person doesn't seem to have been involved in any from what I can tell. Is the purpose of the article solely to humiliate one person who happens to have a specific fetish? How is that funny if the person hasn't done anything to bring the ridicule on themselves beforehand? Is it just because they made a video? Do pages get made about everyone that makes stupid videos? --Usiri 02:35, 11 January 2008 (CST)

  • This video was profoundly retarded. It isn't just humiliating someone with a sick fetish, it's humiliating someone with a sick fetish who choses to parade it around the internet for all to see. It's a grown man living with his parents, shitting his pants, and walking around his neighborhood in a full fursuit. If you think this behavior is normal you need a shotgun mouthwash ASAP. --Drunkenlazybastard 02:42, 11 January 2008 (CST)
  • Furthermore you reek of a furfag sympathizer. --Drunkenlazybastard 02:50, 11 January 2008 (CST)
    • I didn't say it was normal. I'm just saying just cause they made the video doesn't mean you had to watch. It might have been a diff story if they were spamming their shit everywhere. Were they? --Usiri 02:56, 11 January 2008 (CST)
      • Posting public videos to youtube = putting it out there. These things spread. --Drunkenlazybastard 02:58, 11 January 2008 (CST)
        • So... its because alot of people took notice? Okay, so the drama part is actually that people got disgusted by it, and not that they actually did anything to warrant the attention other than do something millions of people do, with the twist being that the subject matter was more provocative than usual. I see now. Thanks for clearin that up.--Usiri 03:04, 11 January 2008 T(CST)
          • Usiri has a point. While I love trolling furfags and humiliating them, Damaron wasn't asking for it. Anonymous was a little overzealous in this raid. I myself hate furfags, I found the video profoundly disgusting, but now I am questioning why Anon went this far. Have we forgotten why we hate furfags? It's because they see themselves as immune to criticism, that they're special, that we "can't judge them because [we] don't know them." THAT is why Anonymous hunts furries. They are guilty of the highest crime of the internet: Unwarranted Self-Importance. It's why we went after Goddess Mine. Damaron is guilty of furfaggotry, but not unwarranted self-importance. --2407 anon 10:11, 11 January 2008 (CST)
            • My thoughts exactly. The video was pretty obviously meant for his friends and such - and not, in any way, shape or form an attempt at attention whoring. As far as I know he hasn't got any knowledge of where the perpetrators of the attacks came from. In any case, we document internet drama indiscriminately here - so lulz ahoy-Ketthe KangaJewSodomy plz 19:01, 11 January 2008 (CST)
              • Indeed. Let's just try keep this sort of crap to a minimum in the future. If someone sees shit like this, contacts the furry/sick fuck/fag/whoever and starts internet drama, and internet drama ensues, THEN it be raid tiemz. Random attacks aren't cool and it's not what we're all about here.--2407 anon 19:31, 11 January 2008 (CST)
                • It wasn't really the sort of internet vigilantism that those imageboards typically take part in, like with Hal Turner and so on, and the video wasn't even recently uploaded either. The /b/ thread reeked of newbies wanting to prove their worth. I guess that is why people seem to bitch about 4chan turning to shit-Ketthe KangaJewSodomy plz 20:00, 11 January 2008 (CST)
                  • Well, maybe now they've got a taste of what it's like, and when it comes time to go after the real targets they won't wuss out. It's always hardest the first time around when you don't know anything. --2407 anon 19:51, 12 January 2008 (CST)

  • Wow, I almost shat bricks when I saw the first photo of Damaron on the page- the aby.com one. Without the headscarf/water-cap and the diaper, that guy could pass for a near-duplicate of my cousin. Thank god the resemblance ends there though. --- Also, needs moar humiliating shit, if we're going to go all out. -- user:seizurepirate 23:44, 15 January 2008 (GMT)
  • That video made me want to gouge my eyes out. Not surprised he's a babyfur.--Plague 13:24, 9 February 2008 (CST)

I find furries as weird as the next person, but I think this article went a bit too far with Damaron. I know the guy IRL, and he's actually pretty nice. He seems to mind his own buisness and doesn't push the furry thing in your face at all. His only mistake seems to have been posting a stupid video and too much personal info online. I'm normally a big fan of ED, but I was sort of disappointed in this article and all of the BS that has ensued because of it. There are plenty of people out there on the internets who deserve their own article here, but this guy shouldn't have been one of them.

  • True. But every year produces at least a couple lulzcows out of these furries like Ray Jones and Duke Otterland. Granted, Damaron is nowhere near as lulzy without that video. I'm just surprised that a few ED users don't approve of this article.--Plague 01:03, 22 February 2008 (CST)
    • I think the folks at ED (and anonymous in general) are starting to warm up to Furries, or there's enough furs here that they've stopped ganging up on the few truly bad examples. Either way this disapproval seems to be an alteration of Anon-opinion. Maybe Project Chanology is finally making people see that we have better shit to be doing than beating up babyfurs? -- Image:Jigsaw_puzzle_piece.png For every piecethere is a puzzle 11:51, 25 February 2008 (CST)
  • Yeah. Project Chanology has definetly changed the way lulz is conducted. Some of anonymous have even stated that they're above hacking and site raids now while dealing with Scifags since the protests have been an epic win.--Plague 13:08, 25 February 2008 (CST)
  • I can't believe I came across that video with him dancing. I just had to put it up, it was probably the gayest thing I've ever seen. Anybody have eyes they want to donate to me? Mine are wrecked after seeing that. --APW 00:55, 30 April 2008 (CDT)
