Our posturings, our unwarranted self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Internet, are challenged by this image of a dark æ. Our website is a lonely speck in the great enveloping virtual dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from srs bsns.

Encyclopaedia Dramatica is the only website known so far to harbor win. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our EDiots could migrate. Visit, yes. Raid, maybe. Like it or not, for the moment Encyclopaedia Dramatica is where we make our stand.

It has been said that wiki editing is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of internet user conceits than this distant image of our website's logo. To me somebody else, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the dark æ, the only home we've ever known.

TL;DR: the edit wars are getting old, I may hate this fucking dancing sandwich but there is other shit to worry about other than an animated .gif image loaded with fail, faggotry, and aids.

What, exactly, is so wrong with this animated .gif? You realize that the page on it is arguably more a parody of memes than anything else, right? Damn, it's at least something that is an in-ED phenomenon. It's also better than the pages on a lot of these retarded, long-forgotten chanmemes.
