Template vandalism
To vandalise a particular article, with say the mediawikiGoatse, provides a more concelable way of vandalising. The best article to choose is Wikipedia's Today's Featured Aticle. Click edit at the top of the page and then scroll down past the edit box and there will be a list of all the templates used in that article. About 90% of them will be protected or semi-protected. Pick one, which isn't protected; delete its content; insert Goatse table; write "fixed typo" in the edit summary; hit Save Page. This will ussally go unseen for two to twenty minutes, before they figure out what's going on. Only vandalise one template per account/IP address, because the more edits you make, the greater your change is of getting caught via the recent changes page. The FA of the day is seen by hundreds of thousands of Wikipedos and members of the public each day, so a Goatse would be a lovely surprise for them!
Here is an example of someone doing it to a template, which featured in Wikipedia's FA of the day, To Kill a Mockingbird, on 11 July 2008.

- Gets seen by thousands of people
- Quick and easy (only one edit required)
cons:
- You will get blocked without question
- If it's persistand enough, it may result in Wikipedos protecting every template prior to "show time"
- The Goatse doesn't look quite right when it appears on the article in question, because its merges with text

- I actually think there's solid, strong evidence that he is actually Grawp. Here's what I've noticed:
- They say that JarlaxleArtemis has been editing WP since 30 December 2004 - to quote our Grawp article it says "It is also known, however, that there is another vandal of not nearly the same stature—Headstrust (in actuality, an account created by Grawp before he was known as “Grawp,” as he has been editing Wikipedia since January of 2005".
- JarlaxleArtemis' writing style seems to match that of Grawp.
- His interests seem to match those of Grawp - Final Fantasy, Lord of the Rings - "Grawp's grudge against Wikipedia apparently stems from his having tried to create articles on various Final Fantasy characters, and being upset when the consensus was to merge those into group articles. Hello. I see that all you people do a lot of vandalism. I saw some and inquired, but the Administrators on Wikipedia were not forthcoming with information regarding "HAGGER????" being inserted into article page names. I therefore performed a google search and arrived at this page. I must confess that some of the images on here are not really my taste. - Yes I contribute constructively, I'm actually a reformed vandal right now. Haven't done any since late August. I infiltrate the Wikipedia, I have many accounts, all in different areas, all with different personalities. They'll never be caught. My main, good one dates back to 2005 and I feel almost ready to apply for Administrator rights. And before anyone asks, no, I'm not going to vandalize with it. I actually had admin rights once before, back in 2001 when Jimbo would just email the site password to users he trusted. Man I wish I'd been as active then as I am now and I could have had dozens of admins accounts; they were really that easy to get. Yeah vandalism is fun because I can ruin what took hours to make in three seconds. Keying cars is also fun. Actually I bought a laser pen which can burn stuff and I use that to burst car tires.
