Please, do. I would do it myself, since I'm portuguese. But it would be better if the article showed the point of view of non-portugueses. That, and I'm too lazy to type anything (oh, irony~). I don't know what to write here, and haven't been paying attention.

The article could be more diverse, and I don't find anything lulzy about the "porkies" stuff. Feel free to ask me anything, unless you're portuguese as well. Thanks for the support. I'm portuguese as well, so I already had some things in mind for this one ^_^. I've retouched an older version from before LOLWUT, added a couple more stuff and limed some rough edges. I deleted a part about Ray Jones, because I didn't see any link between him and Portugal whatsoever. I didn't quite get all that "Pork an' Cheese" stuff, but I stuck with it anyways. Helps build up the trashtalk and keeps consistency over the article - maybe there's something that can replace it, but I haven't come up with anything yet... It's true that there's more to Portugal than Maddie, but I find it hard coming up with stuff relevant to outsiders (non-brazilian type). What'd you expect from a country where the greatest source of national lulz is a Monthy Python / Conan O'Brien knock-off? The "Pork" might make some sense, because of the well known "Leitao da Bairrada". I see the portuguese population divided in two parts: one who knows all the names from the personages from the latest TV novel, but doesn't know the name from famous portuguese poets or the infamous question "Quem descobriu o caminho maritimo para a India?"; the other half might care or not about culture, but spends a nice time mocking with the other half of the country and their interests.

Image moved to gallery. Like I said before, the Portuguese flag has "desu"'s colors (red and green), and not just that, as you can see with the image.

Anyway, I'm afraid we would be abusing of ED's lackage of bandwidth, but I was going to suggest a gallery with Portugal's famous constructions, as seen in http://www.portugalnoseumelhor.com/, like lamp posts in the middle of the street. Language and grammar related ones wouldn't make much sense with the non-porkie ones.

I agree. Porkie isn't offensive or funny. We should be refered to as the niggers from Europe. Because in Europe there are no niggers, the closest thing to apes is portugeezes.
