I sense this template getting attached to a great number of band pages. Tfo 15:51, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- For starters... fuckface 15:52, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Now it tags them with the time of putting up, so it can be deleted after some time. Hurray for stealing from TOW! Miltopia 23:22, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] subst
I did Noam Chomsky but it only says the month/day. Would you be able to whip up something simple like how TOW has where we can see what's been tagged longest/by month or something? fuckface 06:32, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- I ask because this URL doesn't list CHomsky with the date/subst method, and we need to be able to find these things for house cleaning/purging. fuckface 06:33, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- The Wikipedia Cleanup-now template doesn't work either unless it's substituted. We could either make a new category for pages like this, or we could have a link to what the cap picture links to. Or, we could live without the dates. Personally, I think the idea of a category is best, but the cat-pic link would be my second choice. I think I would upload a new one that is titled DONOTUSE or something so it would on'y be in the template. Miltopia 06:47, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, got it working. See the top of this page or the template page for a link to what this template, even after substitution, is tagged to. Miltopia 07:11, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Whatlinkshere
It was driving me nuts that the whatlinkshere link would give you what links to the template, and not what links to the article containing the template, so I fixed it. I'm assuming that was the desired behaviour. If not, ohshi --j0no 09:03, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Er, I think it was supposed to be that way actually, sorry :-( Miltopia 13:14, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Why the fuck would anyone care what pages link to the template? It doesn't even show pages that include the template. Since the point is nothing links to the pages that include this template, having a quick link to the whatlinkshere for those pages makes more sense. j0no 16:05, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Note: That the same link was in the description of the template, and you changed it because you realized it didn't work and made no sense, but you didn't change the link in the template itself. That link should either be the list of files that link to the template image, or my change which is a list of articles that link to the page in question. Since people can just click the image that's right there, I thought a list of articles that link to the page in question was more useful. In either case, a list of articles that link to the template is useless. j0no 16:29, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, fixed, I had forgotten that subbing kills the whatlinks here. Took me three edits to fix it too. Dumb! Miltopia 21:07, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
