[edit] Protect

Lock this shit down again, please. I don't feel like getting into a pissing match with certain users with certain fucking retarded "threat advisory" graphics. Thanks. ~ Suihtil Cod [U|T|C] 21:57, 3 December 2007 (CST)

  • I am 100% neutral in this issue, but if you're referring to who I think you're referring to based on the history, protecting a page still allows sysops to edit it so that wouldn't change anything. It would be a lot more productive to just talk to her. She's very nice if you're polite. Just be honest about how you feel. That was my Dr. Phil moment for the day, back to banning people. • That's a she? And personally, given the quality of the "threat advisories" and the fact they hadn't taken the hint by now, I was dead certain that they would either not listen or outright mock anything I had to say. Which is why I haven't bothered up to now. Nn... I guess it couldn't hurt to try... ~ Suihtil Cod [U|T|C] 10:04, 4 December 2007 (CST)
  • I realize that some of my threat advisories don't conform to the usual format & standard, but I do it that way on purpose. I can easily make the other kind, but sometimes I don't want to. It's easy enough to do it the normal way, but for me part of the fun is being creative. Nothing breaks, it just looks different. It is not harmful. Everyone is free to continue making the normal kind. Mine only look "wrong" or "bad" if you think that ONLY the standard kind can be good. Once in a while the non-standard format can convey more "meaning" and is more evocative. Having said all this, though, I know that none of it really matters; I'm not attached to it; it's just internets; it's all for fun. I'm not sum big importunt Artiste or something. I do get cranky when something I spent a little time on gets summarily overwritten. As I say, I'm not clinging to my graet artistic accomplishments, but I think it should be OK for there to be non-standard threat advisories from time to time. Yours are very good. Mine are (in my mind) just fine, and were fun for me. I was not very good at using coloring books! ;^) --Image:Schwarzesonne.gif»⇔«¿ 10:19, 4 December 2007 (CST)
