Mark Foley's Terri Schiavo impression.

Tony Anglesey is one of the internet's lesser-known e-lawyers, spam aficionados, and all-around e-sleazebags. Unfortunately, he is also somewhat adrift in the strange new world of the internets, and thus it is that Anglesey's career has thus far been akin to a ship being tossed around the waves like... like some sort of incompetent, misguided ship. Or something.

[edit] From Humble Origins to a More Humble End

Anglesey is known to have been involved with at least half a dozen "companies" over the last decade, through which he has been kind enough to offer the internets his sage expertise on subjects ranging from refinancing, bankruptcy, tenant law, lolsuits, credit card debt, business credit, living trusts and wills, debt settlement, web marketing, web design, how search engines ought to work, and how one might go about getting a great, high-paying job. In spite of his Jeffersonian talent pool, though, Anglesey himself appears to have been having a bit of financial trouble himself and has thus been forced to retreat to Guatemala due to the huge amounts of fail which permeate his every unethical endeavor.

[edit] The Tony Anglesey Treatise on What Constitutes Spam

Among the many writings which e-historians have managed to find and catalog, there exists a particularly useful fragment which may be clearly attributed to Anglesey and which appears to constitute a fine example of what experts now refer to as The AgaveBlue Era. The layman may find context at the following link...

... but which is perhaps best summarized by the following lollerific Anglesey quote:

"By the way, it is not SPAM if we provide

unsubscribe link or a phone number to contact, which we do both of [sic]."

Tony Anglesey

Presumably, Anglesey does not regard the posting of spam to equate to the posting of spam, either.

[edit] Current Projects

Anglesey has recently been the subject of several ICANN complaints due to his silly habit of registering websites with false contact info, but is still currently in control of AngleseyDesign.com, his ill-conceived and largely unsuccessful web production firm, as well as riight.com, his ill-conceived and entirely unsuccessful (and allegedly bankrupt) search engine firm, which he had hoped would compete with Google. His most successful ongoing venture appears to be Agave Blue, a job site for freelancers. The tech support number is disconnected as of August 2008, which is a damned shame because people who called in would have been able to get tech support, a deal on refinancing, a living will, website development at rock-bottom prices, legal advice, plus fifty other fucking things to boot.

Most hilarious of all, though, is the fact that AgaveBlue.net's message board is rigged in such a way that random vague comments from various non-existent "users" pop up automatically in response to anything one posts at said message board, and that this is clearly part of some ill-conceived effort to give off the impression that people actually use the site for non-ironic purposes.

[edit] Anglesey on Living Trusts

"With a will, when you pas away (die, cease to exist on this planet, etc),

your estate will go into probate, costing your loved ones, or not so loved ones, thousand of dollars (15% of your estate) and time...With a living trust, your estate goes directly to your beneficiary, without the hassle and inconvenience of a will. The general cost for a trust is $800-2000 through an attorney, or we've got paralegals on staff that can do it for quite a bit less"

"The cost of probate isn't necessarily 15% of the estate."

"I am sorry that Riight, Inc. has not paid you yet. If you like, I can have you named on the bankruptcy when I file, at least, that way, you will get a tax write off.

I do not have a US address, but you can mail things to my attention, although it has nothing to do with Riight, Inc., to: 025 Calle Santander 07010, Panajachel, Guatemala"
