THIS IS SERIOUS; READ IT.

Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:

1. New User

Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.

If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. To start you off:

• Sign your comments using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
• To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page.
• These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them.

These tips will hopefully prevent you from getting raeped by the ED admins.

2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.

Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.

Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list and ED IRC. If you need an admin, the list of active ED Sysops will let you know who's around. To chat with or to ask for help from other ED users, then please hit up the experts in #wiki on our IRC.

DA

Well...I'd say we could use less DA bullshit, less YouTube bullshit, less LJ bullshit, furfag bullshit etc etc. It's hard to say "no DA moar 'attack' articles" unless we do it across the board. Ima be moar involved from now on so it's something I'd like to talk to GV about at some point soon. It's pretty much 1.Maintain Portal (keeping it current) 2.Upkeep existing articles/Quality control edits 3.Nurse new articles. Check the New Pages a lot. If you need an article deleted, leave it on the DAID page for tagged articles, I watch that page.

• FA and DD get changed on fridays. If you are having trouble finding an article let me know. We want good ones, but when it's slow classics are fine too.
