• Not to worry. RL > ED, especially with stuff like that. Do what you normally do on site. Don't go out of your way to do things you don't normally find enjoyable. You'll find plenty of things that having admin tools will be a benefit for. Take a peek at ED:SYSOP for some general guidelines. If you do something wrong, we'll give you a heads up, but if you keep on keepin as you always have and just use your new tools when the need arises, you'll do fine. White•Mystery

• That depends entirely on how nice you feel. I think Entropy was trying to be kind by putting the deathnotice on it instead of just deleting it, but if it's been like that for a day or two and there's no hope of it improving, kill it. If a two line article about someone being a dog fucker pops up in RC, flush it right away. Now there are always disagreements among sysops about what should be flushed and what shouldn't - you can play it safe by only deleting new shit as it pops up and asking an older sysop about anything established. ODB is a good person to go to on this. Yiri has also been around for quite a while and knows the history of lots of things on site. Generally anything from 2006 or earlier should just be left alone because it's probably here for a reason, no matter how bad it is. White•Mystery
