1. New User

Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. I reverted your last edit because a). it didn't really make sense (but I haven'y had my coffee yet so...) and 2). I wanna try and keep these kind of "attack" articles (troll bait) as pure and free from schoolboy edits as possible.

This is another way we can help clean up ED. That's why I rewrote the whole article to focus the vitriol. I had the same kinda 'argument' with User:Blargh over atheists (see his talk). I was actually fucking with him for the Wikichan raid/DDoS he helped spark but I agree with his comments that the edit I wanted included was more fitting in the Xtianity article.

I want someone with the same sort of venom I had in writing Americans to go thru the England page and take out all the butthurt Eurofag edits which amounts to nothing more than "Brits are fags; we're #1/Americans are fags; we're #1" etc. That and piping fact and lie, reverting it, reverting that...ad nausea. Same with the USA article, same with Christian vs Atheist, Capitalism vs Communism etc. etc.

The Americunt v Eurofag 'debates' are a staple on /b/ every weekend and are for the most part asinine to say the least. I want to have our 'debate' to be black and white. In short, argue that the Brits and French are twits and pretentious on the Eurofag page because they link to Americunt.

- My self-ræp was mainly for show -a statement of intent. What I'm actually doing is taking a break from Sysops duties so I can lurk /b/ moar and EDit moar. I was gonna be using my sock account to EDit but then I had to get back on as ODB to help squash the beef with 420chan and revert some vandalism and ban. I actually need to unræp my IP since my sock is b& lol.

Anyway, point taken but you'll notice that I actually rewrote that whole thing since it resembled the 'hilarious' Eurogaf/US bashing on /b/ every weekend. And, ahem, I'm from England. As for Europeans not having a sense of humour about stuff like this, see what I did thar (just a start). It's not about who can self-depreciate better, it's about maturity of the EDitor. Many of the edits and reversions in articles like USA and England are written by children going tit-for-tat and are a. unfunny and 2. annoying since it's always the same bullshit eg. [fags|people think americans are #1] gets changed to [hero|people think Americans are #1] over and over.

If an American wants to add lulz to the Americans article it should be within the spirit of the article -anti-American- just as I agreed with Blargh that a reference to Xtians being nuts for worshiping a zombie (Jesus) belongs in Xtains and not atheists (much as I hate agreeing with Blargh on anything).

Good luck to you, most location articles will be a chore. My own solution to the problem of 50 states of ED and other locations nobody cares about would be an article called "24 States Nobody Cares About", just a gallery of inappropriate photos pulled from EDISP. Searching for Nebraska failed, so I tried "Corn Porn", which pulled up a nice PETA protester in a bikini in winter standing outside of KFC, so maybe there's potential. Whilst I don't subscribe to the "Don't let the kids in the other treefort see what's in ours" mentality of *chan tweenies, some effort should be required. Ergo, even linking the {{meme}} template to LURK MOAR is in the spirit of LURKING MOAR, since =See Also= says lurk and moar. If they're too thick to figure it out from thar, they should be banned and their IPs sent to all *chans. ZIEG HEIL!

The thing is, your article was deleted several times, an only experienced administrators get to do that, and they do actually consider if an article can be salvaged before they do it. Articles that recreated without talking to the admin that deleted it always get far less respect, because the likelihood that a user is just trolling or needs to lurk moar is MUCH higher, and they get marked quickly by users like me so they won't fall through the cracks. --Aghar 13:02, 18 September 2007 (CDT)
