- I guessed journalism because you frequently write the bulk of your articles as 'reportage' (this is a good thing IMO) and then lulz it up. You also mentioned that you write notes before you create an article etc. Personally, this kills my flow (as witnessed by a half dozen unfinished /subpage articles). As for a BAT article, it's a tad early yet. Give it six months and you can start it yourself. In the meantime we are using CO$ PIs to stalk you and find out your crimes.

Srysly dude....it ain't no thing. Like I said, you acted with ED's best interests at heart and that's what matters. Also...it's not like you deleted hard to find pix (of a dumb camwhore at that) or anything of real value. However, for future ref, if you have a concern and nobody is around to A. your Q. I'd save the pix to a direct URL upload site (like Multiply.com) using a proxy.
Apart from that, yeah, I'm digging the Face thing big time. It's a lot moar funneh than the other facial recognition site that was lulz for a few minutes last year. Can't remember the name and lost the bookmark but you'd put in a pic of, say, Cockmongler and it would return a half dozen celebs that matched the basic features.

Hells yah....I saw that. It's funny...even though I was a lifelong Chelsea fan (Shed Boy -pre-Headhunters firm) I was also a bit of a Man U. fan in my pre-teens. But those were Bobby Charlton's Red Devils and I think every Englishman had a secondary 'crush' on that Man U. team. I was going to add moar Internets since the troll (a particularly 1337 US Gummint troll on a gullible Americunt populace) created all sorts of butthurt Chinese bloggers and the US flagfags. Howevar, I am THE BEST at starting shit and nevar finishing it so it may stay buried in the ED subpage graveyard (along with several others I had/have in the works) until the LHC deletes fucking everything this summer.

Apart from that, as it stands, it works as an example cited in ED:101 of how to work on a new article without leaving crappy stubs all over Special:newpages. It also passes muster as part of ED's non-Internets specific content since it can be classified as lulzy drama and a troll. We had a debate about a year ago re. what criteria an article on IRL stuff that doesn't strictly meet GV's 'charter' should be and it was decided that if something is written re. current events it can stay if it's well written, and meets at least 1.5 of the charter's conditions: Internets, drama and/or lulz.

Well, that's sort of a loaded question. That would be like asking a surgeon how to perform surgery. Are you a programmer? If so, what language(s) do you use? I've been coding for years and I stumbled onto the DotNetWikiBot Framework which would let me write bots in a language I was familiar with (C#) so I started fooling around all of the available library functions. To write a bot you need to familiarize yourself with a language that has exception handling, http connection capability, and full regular expression support, and you'll have to locate a bot library for that language.
In my opinion, the best languages for this particular task are perl and C#. I haven't used perl for a long time, but if you wanted to use C# you would need to download Visual Studio 2008 Express (it's the free edition with 90% of the profressional version functionality), get a book on C# and learn the basics, and then download the DotNetWikiBot Framework and read through all of the examples.
