I may have overreacted, but I reverted your edit originally because I didn't think your additions were creepy. It sounds like you're trying to retell some scary campfire stories you heard once when you were little. They also don't match the direct address of most the existing creepypastas. All that probably wouldn't matter as much, but the page is already huge (I'm sure you noticed the size warning when you added your stuff.) I've re-removed The Unknown Passenger because it sucks. The reason that image was changed into pain series was that Reddit hot linked the image without a link back to ED or asking for permission, so User:ajt changed it to pain series on them. It's best not to revert his changes. He'll switch it back when he's ready. White•Mystery

Collapsing Question

The {{co}} and {{cs}} templates have a restricted set of characters which are allowed to be used since the content to be collapsed is passed as a template parameter. It's basically just more mediawiki faggotry that we have to deal with. If you want the absolute flexibility to put what you want inside the collapsing section, you should write out all the containers and tags by hand (like the first example on the CO page). If you want it to look like a collapsing section, just take the code off the {{cs}} template and use static values instead of template parameters. White•Mystery

I've started a very brief Age of Conan article to cover today's NDA breaking drama and shutdown of the Funcom forums. Series Template Shenanigans

Hey dude, I wanted to get your opinion on us moving to a bunch of series templates functionally like User:WhiteMystery/ytseries when we start creating portal pages. I'm not sure the current templates with 200 links on them are doing anyone any good. What do you think? White•Mystery

Thank you, I'll add some of the stuff that I had in the previous version to this version, but I won't revert it back. I'll put in the things that are critical but nothing boring, you said I had the right idea before.

Also, it's not a Ph.D per se, it's more like a post-grade stuff 'n shit. Hard to explain.


I added it partially with seriousness because people use to freak out about the LHC, and when people freak out about it, it can go batshit downhill (Planet X). But now that I think about it, I gave it a little of personal touch, which sucks.


Anyways, LHC is gonna be turned on in August 2008 (If not later), that has been confirmed.

I'm really fucking tired of listening to the assholes that say "ZOMFG IT'S GONNA KILL US!!1!11!1! WE GOTTA SAVE THE LOLIS!1!ONE"; it's all fear-mongering and saying that it will kill us all is bullshit. But if we overlook it and simply say "it's bullshit, shut the fuck up", it would be pretty much ad hominem, a type of fallacy. So just debunk it.


Hawking radiation is theorical, but the same quantum physics that allow the generation of the micro nigger hole are the same as the Hawking Radiation. So, if Hawking Radiation does not exist, then we shouldn't be worrying about Micro black holes on the LHC. Strangelets are even more theorical. Cosmic rays, etc.


This shit is gonna be big, man, if we discover the Higgs Boson, physics will be redefined completely. On the sciencefag's point of view, it's awesome. For a civilian, it should be a meh. But again, don't drink the Kool-Aid when they tell you that it's gonna kill us all.


So yeah, now that it's baleeted it's gonna take a while for me to come up with a new section. But eventually, I must mix lulz with facts. That's gonna take more time.

Basically, the LHC will slam protons at tremendously high speeds (99.99999% of the speed of light), and will separate them on the subatomic particles. Then, the detectors will process the data and send them to the servers for examination via The Grid (The future rival of the Internets, long story short, if the internets is a series of tubes, The Grid is a series of light-made tubes).

They will pretty much confirm the existence of the quarks, and if they find the Higgs Boson, questions like "Why do objects have mass" will be answered. It will pretty much rewrite the physics books you read back in high school.
