Hello, InternetsHitman

THIS IS SERIOUS; READ IT.

Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:

1. New User
Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.
If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. Take your time and start slowly.

2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.

Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.

Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list.

If you plan on sticking around, feel free to make your mark on the ED:Map and join the all new ED Facebook, the ED Myspace the ED Bebo and follow the ED Twitter.

  • "ED is not yr personal army" etc. But if it's a good new article that's worth going on the front, feel free to check with one of the sysops (besides me, as i still fail at the fancy high-tech stuff), and make the suggestion!--Image:Schwarzesonne.gif»⇔«¿ 15:37, 30 December 2007 (CST)

InternetsHitman -

Hello, I would like you to take down the pictures you have on your Jeffree Moon page, please. Someone I know created the Jeffree Moon myspace, not myself, and I would really appreciate it if you took the pictures down. I don't care what you write in the article, but I do not want my face to be unwillingly associated with this kind of thing. Thanks.

[edit] Desperate

Good start, but you could probably afford to go easy on the piping. Piping, like pizza and beer, is awesome in moderation, but can leave one with a sick sort of feeling if there's too much. HedgeJew 17:24, 15 April 2008 (CDT)

Uh hey... that's a userpage template, not an article template. White Mistress 00:28, 16 June 2008 (CDT)

[edit] An Heroes Portal

Hey there I saw your "rough draft" for an An Heroes Portal. First its usually a good idea to start in your userspace so I moved them there in the meantime. Also, please propose an idea for a new Portal first at Encyclopedia Dramatica:Portals to toss the idea round. If you need help let one of us know.

 TALKSTALK

Hey, kickass job on the new article there. Also, unless you object, I'm in the process of converting all portals to use {{portal}}. It makes life easier on the sysops (namely me) and unifies all the portal code. If you intend to keep working on your portal, I'll convert it over for you some time this week. • Well, I think it's a good start, but it's got a ways to go. Take a look at Spacey's comments and my comments on the talk page. Once refined, it would most certainly be a good front page candidate as the MySpace version of the sort of thing we've got up today. Take a peek at that portal template if you're having any problems and feel free to ask for help if you need it. Some of the subpage names are going to change to become standardized. Stop using ED as your personal army with the myspace trolls article and let it get edited legitimately.

[edit] Myspace trolls

  • You really need to calm the hell down or that article is going to get bahleeted. Let pengies edit it if he wants, as long as he's not blanking the page. Share the lulz equally. Although you picked a bad group of people to make an article about. They are all going to fight over that thing no matter what happens.

[edit] pengies

if he shows up again anywhere, just drop me a note.

  • Does the fact that there is now a site wide "Pengies witchhunt" mean that I won??? I think it might....DanielsPengiesForever 03:24, 1 August 2008 (CDT)

[edit] MySpace Trolls

Alright thanks. I'm basically only interested in disruptful editors and any socks that are pengies or other editors who've been banned in the past for faggotry, though. I'll ban this round of retards, but we're mostly interested in finding who have been banned already or that are disruptful, for example pengies has already lost the right to edit our honourable ED long ago. We may or may not open that article up again, but you've sort of opened up a can of bawwwww just by creating it alone, since every glory troll or shamed lolcow has flocked to it and tried to either insert themselves into the article, bolster their own "name", or to use it as a pulpit against others they're angry at.

We're not TOW and we don't care about POV here, but we need to try and keep that article clear of faggotry and the bullshit edit warring that it has attracted. What we can do is, if you come up with a new draft, I can unlock it and you can update it and then we'll lock it down again. BUT, we want to keep it informative and interesting for the average reader, it's not a pulpit for anyone to whine or to try and tell everyone they're some uber trollgod, so no attention to any one person should be given. The irony to begin with, is that they're all a bunch of nobodies in the first place, so if you're going to rewrite it, and that article is really going to need an overhaul anyways, then you're going to have to do so neutrally on this one. You've already done a decent job on doing that as it is, but to keep the article from getting fagged up we need you to try and keep it appealing to all readers, not just those who may or may not know who any of these retards are in the first place. Know what I mean?

 TALK 20:14, 31 July 2008 (CDT)

  • We don't need to give an article to every nobody myspace troll. What we want is a general article about the topic, the section on each "troll" is fine but I think you've sort of played up the individuals too much as it is. Perhaps a collapsed section, or a subpage is better (and a watered down one at that). There's just too many fail trolls that want to put in their 2 cents on the article and, although I don't mind banning the socks when they return (WhiteMystery was banning like 30 socks a day a while ago when the numbers vandal was active, so I can't complain) I'd prefer not to have to sort the shit out.

[edit] Myspace Trolls Rogue

If you could please take the pic of Rogue off. The article is fine there are just too many identifying marks on my body. I'd prefer to be anonymous since it could cause a lot of problems IRL. I prefer to keep teh internets and rl seperate. Thanks
