Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:
- 1. New User
- Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.
- If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. Take your time and start slowly.
- 2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.
Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.
Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list.
If you plan on sticking around, feel free to make your mark on the ED:Map and join the ED Facebook, the ED Myspace and the ED Bebo.
Remove you? Well you shouldn't be such an asshole on wikipedia? All people on the bureaucratic fuck article are assholes and abusive admins (or sock puppets of admins) like Netscott and Hipocrite. You want yourself down after all the abuse wikipedia does? Let's see three people with a grudge and two sock puppets go after the place, going after anyone who supports the site. All the admins are basically out to get anyone associated with ED and they can do whatever abuse they want. If you want off, you have to change your evil ways. Im not trying to be abusive, I deleted the redirect because of policy of deleting redirects to deleted articles and I blocked Blu via IRC discussion with other admins with all those socks he created, mainly attacking me. Thanks for the welcome, I tried to do a good faith edit on Thinking because it's mostly empty and I got reverted. Crap here means rewrite or delete right? as for me Im avoiding this site Jaranda 02:14, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Jaranda, I can't remember what you did exactly, other than banning people and maybe deleting ED content. I also blame all wikipedia admins for letting their own MONGO, Tony Sidaway, and ContiE run amuck with Netscott and Hipocrite (who are both obvious sockpuppets of these and maybe of Netsnipe=Netscott, too). Then all the admins praise their actions. Oh and just so you know, if this was wikipedia, you would be completely ignored, banned and called a troll (troll = what you say doesn't matter). Blu Aardvark is the one who knows the dirt on you--I've only seen you briefly when you've done bad things. I really lump the majority of wikipedia admins into a hivemind, because they are one. Ah, I looked through your logs and apparently you banned someone just for complaining about MONGO--no personal attacks or anything, just quoting wiki links of MONGO's edits. Thanks for fixing [1]. I tried to sort these right, but messed up and good find on the thinking article, which was worthles. And by the way, no one here has made an article about you yet. This is a drama site admins that cause drama get written about--which would be ones abusive and those that get in conflicts with wikipedia's hive mind--although freakofnurture has requested an article and no one's made one for him. As a sysop with nothing better to do than help those who are obviously butthurt over silly shit, I am willing to take on board what you have to say about this article. All of the personal information appears to be removed from the page, and it is against the rules to drop real names anyway. Unfortunately, as ED is a rather active wiki and the admins do have lives, we oftentimes miss things such as IRL names being dropped and such. If you see your real name dropped in the article or other identifying information included on the page (that means that external links to sensitive info is a-ok, because we didn't write it) feel free to remove it, but blanking the article will land you substantial time on the naughty chair because it indicates that your sense of humour and ability to poke fun at yourself is retarded.
