Thanks for you comments about my contribution to the Ubuntu article. You're completely right about leaving the fact-based software articles to TOW. In particular, the list of Ubuntu derivatives is a bit long and may not be needed here at all. You are right about the butthurt. Since you don't like it either, I've removed it; still, there needs to be some commentary on the Ubuntu community specifically, beyond the butthurt-sounding rant about the IRC channel. The section about Debian is trying to comment on what many Ubuntu users see as a selling point of their operating system of choice- they say things like it's as simple as apt-get install, or that all the software they will ever want is in there; thus the listing of package management commands and shitty games (someone who isn't trying to insult Ubuntu users and developers might mention aptitude or synaptic as package managers and Tremulous as a game). Also, the comments on Ubuntu versioning versus other open source versioning might be inappropriate for ED. Fellacious 22:52, 26 December 2007 (CST)
