Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:
- 1. New User
- Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.
- If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. To start you off:
- Sign your comments using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
- To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page.
- These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them.
- 2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.
Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.
Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list and ED IRC. If you need an admin, the list of active ED Sysops will let you know who's around. To chat with or to ask for help from other ED users, then please hit up the experts in #wiki on our IRC.
If you plan on sticking around, feel free to make your mark on the ED:Map and join the ED Facebook, the ED Myspace the ED Bebo and follow the ED Twitter. If that's not enough ED for you, feel free to join the all new ED Forums.

Wow Reject article is good 2 go. Just try to make the tone mocking instead of genuinely angry. I've been trolling Xiao for a while and I have discovered maximum lulz are to be found when idiot tartlets reveal embarassing parts about thier lives through thier journals (or in Xiao's case, her sister revealing those details). Your RejectedDreams article is pure lol, Great job. Miskatonic is the DA czar, but he has been inactive the past couple of weeks, so I have been taking care of the portal (being a DA portal caretaker :slow:). I'm gonna make it the Featured Article on Thursday morning if he is still MIA, so could you do me a favor and make sure it is presentable by then? I'm not saying it's not presentable now, but just make sure:
- It's properly wiki'd, not overdone, not underdone.
- Not too many memes, but make sure there are a couple at least to keep the kiddies happy (Try to keep away from the over 9000 and other overplayed memes like ???? Profit though).
- Go over the spelling and grammar.
- Make sure it's organized, clean looking. Try to make sure the pictures and screencaps aren't in disarray.
- Make sure there are galleries, drop down would be preferable if there are more then 8 or 10 pictures in a gallery.
I'm not saying that this article is any of these, and you don't have to kill yourself. It's a great article as it is.
This is the only article that hasn't been killed instantly in a few weeks now, and I don't want to feature another old article like I did this week with the Complaints Forum article. This is current events and I'm guessing a lollercaust can ensue out of this.

Hi, hun! First off, I think Ethereal Crow REALLY needs a article more now than before. Some of her latest stamps are just stupid and lulzy, and she has blocked comments on all of them. She also hides comments freely like DBoy. I'd do it myself, but I suck at writing whole articles. I know I must sound lazy asking you but you did a BEAUTIFUL job with the RejectedDreams article.
As for Conservatoons, well, that article highlighted his lack of talent, his obvious ripoff of Gary larson, and the fact that he has two accounts and always hides links to his other account, since he doesn't want people to know that he does conservative comics. Lulzy, amirite? Another Deviant, InvisibleLlama, noted him and said that he had to take down his artwork because he was found guilty of plagiarism and other stuff (the note was pure gold) CT got butthurt, replied with No, and had Llama banned. RE:Custom signatures
Go to the preferences page and there will be a text box where you can format your signature. You can create a separate template that shows the content of you signature and insert the tag in the signature text box. -
