Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering if you could clarify the Dox policy for me: specifically, whether they're actually acceptable on ED or if they can only be linked to an off-site location. - That's true. You could put up several reams of disclaimers and such as far as the usage of dox, but it likely wouldn't stop people from abusing them nor would it stop people from trying to use it as a means of attacking ED. So basically, even though it'd be for good intentions, it'd just cause a shitload of problems. I think the primary abusers are underage kids whose parents use the Internet as their babysitter. These are the same parents who give their children cell phones and pretty much let them run amok. They're used to getting things their way and they can't comprehend that what they do could have reflective repercussions, they're just kids after all.
- In the communities where I've posted my dox openly the only ones who ever really call are those in the 12 to 16 age range. Most of them will just do mediocre prank calls (hanging up as soon as you pick up, playing sound bites off their computer, etc). On some occasions I've gotten latchkey kids who basically just want someone to talk to and they'll actually engage in civilized conversation. Hatter Article Reversion
Can you restore all the stuff Spacey ripped out of Hatter's article that Hatter doesn't want anyone to look at? At one time some user had put in that gem he had plastered across the NYTs where he was running off at the mouth about how he was using ED as justification to go around attacking people. Spacey (Hatter's girlfriend) took that off and then added in a whole truckload of weak ass lame shit to try and cover it up. It's funny cos he came back a few times...after lengthy layoffs- and we'd go at it again. In the end we started respecting each other and I kinda missed him/her. The banter between us was pretty priceless too.

IP Range Blocks
I used to hate blocking ranges cos of the maths involved. However, when I discovered we can't block a range in it's entirety, I'd just ban the maximum amount on obvious sock farms like RIPE Amsterdam and APNIC (Asia Pacific). The IPs you gave me belong in APNIC's 59.0.0.0/8 range but we can't reach that far apparently. So I went for the maximum ED ræp would cover -59.0.0.0/16.
Also, I'm not sure how well range blocks work since -in the last round of vandal bots- I b& most of RIPE but they were still vandalising using IPs within the range I blocked.
