G1 / Magic

It's a fantastic phone, and I'm waiting for T-Mobile to update mine to 1.5 Cupcake (Lol, that's the release name). Once it gets it's kinks worked out (I keep having to force quit programs) I'm sure it'll be great. Call quality is average to above average, and I can't say anything about 3G because it's not in my area, but T-Mobile has spotty coverage. The only thing I hate about the G1 is the fucking GPS. I've toyed with an iPhone before and from what I can see the only differences are:

Apps are free on the G1 for the most part. Apple has very few free.
You don't get the trendy "LOOK I'M TRYING TO BE POPULAR" look from the G1, it's just a great phone; even if it's a little beige.
Android OS seems to run smoother than the Mobile OSX, and have fewer lock ups
Sound quality is really damn good, better than the iPhones
Built in keyboard which is a nice thing to have
Everything else is pretty much the same app-wise, though android can do video/video+pic sms and has a more stable feeling browser
G1 has more multimedia out of the box, DRM-Free Amazon MP3
Media player is nicer feeling than iTunes
Camera fucking sucks
GPS is pretty much unreliable on the G1, though I haven't really tested it fully yet
Is an HTC so it probably will burst into flames (Kidding)
Google apps didn't want to recognize my klulz or my verizon google accounts, had to make a new one
And of course, T-Mobile's spotty service.

I'd never actually seen the sweet eva article until just now, but I must say that it never occurred to me that you could apply a floating property to a youtube video in order to make it behave like a regular embedded image with the frame and everything. That seems like something that will come in handy one of these days in reducing whitespace and disjointedness in an article. Formatting is a dynamic art, I guess.
