Hey m8

GG HEY THERE!
Hey, Krade! I saw what you did with Image:SimpleWikipediaVagina.png
I just wanted to say keep up the good work

Good to know there are more tugish users here. More importantly, colleagues from LEIC @ IST-A ^_^

I'm in my first year, and I hope I can get anything done while lurking moar... Randomdudeftw 00:53, 19 March 2008 (CDT)

  • Haha, oh wow. I completely forgot about that. I was a first year when I did that, so that was like, two years ago, when no one knew about ED. Sup. ~ Krade hi yo~ 17:45, 21 March 2008 (CDT)

315chan.org article

Hi,

Just to clear up some stuff:

5 people = a 315chan in-joke.

Reverts = lulzwhut from 711chan attempting to deface the article.

The total user base (unique users) currently rests at about 150 regulars.

While I appreciate your concern I woulda appreciated it if you contacted me to reach a solution BEFORE you took decisive action on the article.

  • ED is not Wikichan or Lurkmore. List of *chan boards is more than enough for Yet Another 4chan Clone that accomplished nothing so far. If you ever do something that causes drama or worthy of inclusion in ED other than getting DDoSed by equally lame /b/ rejects, the page will be unlocked. Obviously, the article would have been left alone if your users didn't feel like reverting each other all the time and insert Last Measure links in other people's userpages. (And yes, I asked the other sysops before deleting it) ~ Krade hi yo~ 13:59, 9 April 2008 (CDT)
  • Hmm.. well.. we did get "The Profit" released... and now that 711chan's hiding its chanology it's the only worldwide "chan.org" with a heralded chanology section. It's been down recently but is back up with new hosting (y'know what happened 'bout wedTM and all that...). Why not give us a chance to have our own page again? I'll try and make sure that our users behave and as for lulzwhut... well, he's just a butthurt anti-chanology guy. Denvetta
    • Ok, but please don't start wanking all over it like last time. No LM stealth links on Discussion/Edit tabs either, kthx. ~ Krade hi yo~ 18:29, 16 April 2008 (CDT)

Thanks :D

I hadn't realized the massive difference in picture quality until I saw them side by side! I'll be sticking to png screenshots from now on! Thanks again for all the help last night :) WhiteMystery

  • PNG is great for images with few colors or computer generated images where you're supposed to be able to tell the pixels apart, like text. JPG is great for photo-like pictures with thousands of colors, the human eye can't really tell them apart. Another trick you can do for PNGs that have few colors is to save the image as a 8 bit PNG. This will limit the image to 256 colors (like a GIF), but it makes the file size tremendously small. I use Photoshop > Save for Web & Devices to do that, since it lets you pick between the different formats, number of colors, etc and see the output image/resulting size on the fly, but free image processing programs that aren't MSPaint should let you do that. And anytime, glad to see SecurityBot running. ~ Krade hi yo~ 18:22, 16 April 2008 (CDT)
    • I'm back to MS Paint after hating The Gimp on Vista, but I hear many good things about the new Gimp release so I'll probably get back to that when it comes out. I think I learn more on ED than I do during the rest of my day! WhiteMystery

Meme Name?

Stupid question time. Do you know if there's a name for the "What I Watched/What I Expected/What I Got" thing from /a/? White Mistress 22:40, 9 May 2008 (CDT)

  • Thanks! Do you think it's worth a page here? I started to hang out on /a/ a little more and I've seen it pop up a few times, but I wasn't sure if it was notable enough. White Mistress 10:08, 12 May 2008 (CDT)

Collateral Damage...DOING IT WRONG?!

Hey man. I think you should sit back and give it a chance. I only uploaded it a few minutes ago and am working on it still. We're on a collaborative wiki-- often, after the first guy starts off a new article with a few sentences, another guy stops on by, adds in a few morsels, followed by another that has more or less determined that it's his life mission to add a picture with a cat standing up on its hind legs.

Now... Having said that...

)

My friend, I think you just volunteered to add in some additional content to our new article on 'collateral damage.' If you get writer's block or have trouble coming up with an idea, try Googling: '+israel +wtf'. I'm sure you'll find something! --AlphaFactor 11:23, 19 January 2009 (CST)

Whoa, whoa, Krade. I just went back to the article. Don't you think 20minutes was a little premature to delete the article? If you find it a little lacking, ok, then just try to improve it. Trigger finger deletion is overboard -- and a little bit like how they do things boring-like over at Wikipedia. --AlphaFactor 11:52, 19 January 2009 (CST)

  • First of all, sry Krade for doing this on your talkpage.

Secondly, the thing is that if we can't see any hope for an article, we aren't going to let it stay. If we ignore shit new articles, it is quite possible that nobody will notice them and they will just sit there, rotting away and producing malodorous foulness. When a new article fails to understand wiki formatting, grammar or, for christ's sake, humor, it's going to be lucky to last that 20 minutes. Ensure that you use Show Preview. Make sure that any edit you commit to the wiki is worthwhile. Don't use "Save Page" as a drafting tool. Draft pages on your own machine and make the fucking edit only when it's good. I've written a new page and protected it for a week. If you want to edit it after that, go ahead. But don't ruin what there is there, and make sure you use the intervening week to learn how to use ED. --yirimyahæ 12:00, 19 January 2009 (CST)

    • Ok... Ymirlah, Krade, I've prepared responses to Ymirlah's comments and request on the TALK-PAGE for collateral damage. See you there. --AlphaFactor 12:56, 19 January 2009 (CST)

Can't login

My original account says the username doesn't exist when it clearly does here: http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/User_talk:NightmareOnElmoStreet It doesn't send my pass (e-mail was validated) and I don't want to try to re-register that same nick in case that causes another problem. Is there anything I can do?. Sorry is this was the wrong place to post that. Kerrrang 13:16, 27 January 2009 (CST)
