follow up

well i have already apologize kinda ? once - albeit half heartedly. and yes it does say what you boldtext'd on the talk page tho i doubt you really looked at the before your edit, anyway that was from the HUGE planning section which was obviously derived over a much longer time that has now been archived as a subpage (as i said these pages have always been a slog). chanology has always been a weight ... and i guess the initial form of the page with OZ and Europe was bound to lead to trouble considering the size of the US contribution. but ED rly wants to be an archive and who knows how long various pics on flickr will stay up (and some are on personal accouts with family pics etc.)... i imagine chanology raid page will end up being divided into continents .... and obviously i am not some supreme controller of the page ... just someone who is following requests for extensive and up2date coverage. ... ED is pretty busy at the moment for obvious reasons but that is desired ....also ... i can understand why you would object to my initial approach, and it was very much overboard... its just that rly i have had about 4 or 5 edit conflicts with people in the last 20 minutes or so who were editing the whole article when all they are doing is adding a jewtube of pictureor two to a section... straw + camel + back type of situation... anyway i think thats, if not more of an apology, perhaps at least an explanation ...maybes?

ZeldaSotC

First, let me say that even though I am an avid LoZ fan, your comment on the Zelda discussion page brought up many good points that I totally agree with.

But I would like to point out that the LoZ games do have a "Put yourself in the character's head and think; is this worth it?" point. In Link's Awakening, the plot involves a dream island in which the people and everything appear to be real, but aren't, even though the supposedly non-real monsters are perfectly capable of killing you. You think that all this is really a dream, until the (secret) ending in which you see Marin fly overhead as a seagull, an animal she expressed an interest in being during the dream. The question it was meant to convey, "Where is the line between dream and reality?", however, was totally lost on the fanbase, and the fact that Nintendo, knowing that the average Nintendo fan is physically incapable of actually thinking, used a talking owl to basically force the message down your throat just makes it all the more sad.

If that was tl;dr, In Link's Awakening, you are basically forced to choose between a genocide of beings that are on the threshold of reality and sleeping, possibly forever, on a boat, exposed to the elements. However, Nintendo stopped making (psuedo)smart stories like these in favor of "kill Ganon 'cuz you're Link" due to Miyamoto understandably not respecting the fanbase.

Umm... That's not really a point of contention, but you may want to refine your arguement a bit in case a Zelda fan who actually has a semblence of intelligence reads it.

Is ED filled with people like you, that actually have a brain? I don't get to talk to those often.
