From Encyclopedia Dramatica
Hello, OtterBoy
THIS IS SERIOUS; READ IT.
Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:
- 1. New User
- Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.
- If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. To start you off:
- Sign your comments using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
- To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page.
- These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them.
- 2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.
Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.
Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list and ED IRC. If you need an admin, the list of active ED Sysops will let you know who's around. To chat with or to ask for help from other ED users, then please hit up the experts in #wiki on our IRC.
If you plan on sticking around, feel free to make your mark on the ED:Map and join the ED Facebook, the ED Myspace the ED Bebo and follow the ED Twitter. If that's not enough ED for you, feel free to join the all new ED Forums.

Red link
The only way I know would be to change the article name to "Editing Red link". And you could just make Red link redirect there so it looks like it doesn't have a page. If you do add links to it anywhere, though, I'd make the text red so it keeps the joke going. If you hit the edit button on this page, you can see how to put the font tags so that the link shows up correctly. Just a thought, anyway. ~ Endedrural (talk) 23:21, 4 June 2009 (CDT)
I just saw your comment on that talk page. It needs more images, but that's about it. Other than a lack of a comprehensive gallery, it would probably be a good front page candidate for some time next month. Red ☭ Mystery 14:34, 20 June 2008 (CDT)
- Awesome. I'll check it out completely a bit later and get back to you. We'll probably MYK it for a week or so to let other people build on it, then we can chat about front paging it. Red ☭ Mystery 14:49, 20 June 2008 (CDT)
- The Moar You Know box on the front page. It's often the intermediate step as it gives the article exposure and lets others add to it. Red ☭ Mystery 14:54, 20 June 2008 (CDT)

That lazy op was me. :P You can check the plumbing log to see who is busily offing shite articles here: Special:Log/delete. I don't usually flush talk pages, as I am a cruel mistress who prefers souls be seperated from their daemons. TfoTalk to meListen to me. 15:02, 22 June 2008 (CDT)
- Killed. Also re: sysophood -- generally being active on the site, and writing well - over a period of time (months, not years) will get you noticed and smiled upon favorably. TfoTalk to meListen to me. 15:07, 22 June 2008 (CDT)
- There's just no drama whatsoever with him -- so it was just another lame grudgepage on a dA user. PS: Why is your first page of comments hidden? TfoTalk to meListen to me. 16:07, 22 June 2008 (CDT)
Lol
Thanks for the heads up man, I was at work so I didn't get the message until just now :P --Drunkenlazybastard 23:57, 22 June 2008 (CDT)
Hi
ODB is on a temporary wikibreak, so he can't respond right now. The user in question (OldDirtyBtard is a infantile barrel of moth-eaten rat boogers!) has long since been permabanned. However, some of his handiwork was apparently left over on talk pages. It looks like he just started talk pages on articles and filled them with random blinking shit. I just deleted all of the traces, thanks for noticing that. ~ endedrural (talk) 01:25, 23 June 2009 (CDT)
The article is from 2005, and I just sort of make it a personal rule not to touch things (or delete them, at least) that have been here longer than I have. There's not a whole lot there, but we can probably afford to let that one stay around. Also, I saw your comment on the DA Portal talk page about tagged articles. I've been meaning to go through and investigate them all, but I've been kind of busy lazy lately. However, I'm still attempting to keep any new shitty articles from coming in. Good job on everything you've done so far, too. ~ endedrural (talk) 01:07, 24 June 2009 (CDT)
Hi, why did you remove the ASCII art from that page? Red ☭ Mystery 12:58, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
- It looks fine to me. You need to consult a sysop or experienced user before making a major change like that. Red ☭ Mystery 13:03, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
- It doesn't look good on monospace fonts. It's designed for the default wiki font. Red ☭ Mystery 13:13, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
- I don't have time to fix this now, but a) you need to chill the fuck out and not remove stuff like that because it doesn't work for you and b) if you're discussing something with a sysop not go put the exact same discussion in three different places while that person is trying to help you fix it. Red ☭ Mystery 13:16, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
Emibooger
MysteryBot will pick up any broken redirects. Unless you mean broken links scattered around the site, that's another thing, but not really a big deal. I just sort of remove them as I see them. ~ endedrural (talk) 21:08, 25 June 2009 (CDT)
Would you please chill the fuck out. You are starting to piss me off a lot. Relax and learn how things work around here before jumping in. Red ☭ Mystery 16:21, 25 June 2008 (CDT)
