User talk:Racoon 76
From Encyclopedia Dramatica
Hello, Racoon 76
THIS IS SERIOUS; READ IT.
Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:
- 1. New User
- Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.
- If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. Take your time and start slowly.
- 2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.
Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.
Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list.
If you plan on sticking around, feel free to make your mark on the ED:Map and join the all new ED Facebook, the ED Myspace the ED Bebo and follow the ED Twitter.

[edit] Hi
Plz to get along with other users. Channel all your angst into a paragraph or article about Ryulong if you want - nobody is stopping you-Ketthe KangaJew 23:27, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
- Glad to see you're really using your time well here. --Lateral 01:09, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
- Since you hate Ryulong so much, why don't you help with the paragraph I and another user started on the bureaucratic fuck page. --Lateral 01:09, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

Stop fucking user page edit warring. KEKEKETalk to me Listen to me. 00:34, 7 July 2007 (CDT)
- Man, I seriously advise listening to this warning, the sysops here can be unforgiving too. --Lateral 02:45, 8 July 2007 (CDT)

I see that you hate Calton, so do I. he just got someone banned for life on Wikipedia for making fun of him on the internet, with no proof. And this was someone with multiple Doctorate degrees, so actually qualified unlike him. Lateral 22:37, 1 November 2007 (CDT)
- Calton has been restored, have fun with it.<3 -- JailBait talk contribs 15:50, 10 November 2007 (CST)

Yes my edit was difficult to read, however the paragraph that you reinserted, that I had deleted, is just as bad. --Faggetobanana 22:29, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

Just because you don't think a pic is funny, doesn't mean that others agree with you. Next time bring it up to a sysop first if you think it's unfunny and want it removed. --Φιλαστερ 23:34, 26 June 2008 (CDT)
- To be honest I don't think it's hilarious either. I don't find a lot of things hilarious. But it's not up to me to decide whether or not it stays on the page. And nobody's saying you can't edit. But it seems to me to be sort of common fucking courtesy to not think that one is the final arbiter of what is funny and not on a site such as this one. Especially when a sysop went out of his way to put it back.--Φιλαστερ 23:41, 26 June 2008 (CDT)
- Dude, chill. I already said I agreed it wasn't funny. I'm honestly trying to help. Whether or not Endedrural is "some 15 year old" or not, he's still a sysop. And even if you're another sysop, you don't go reverting what they do. It's sort of an unwritten rule. And for the most part, people don't go around taking shit out of articles here unless it's a typo or breaks the law or something like that. You have to respect other people's attempts at humor no matter how lame they might be, and sysops here usually are the people who decide whether or not a big deletion is made. Why do you think only they have the power to flush articles? The rest of us can slap an unfunny or baleetplz template on an article, but it's ultimately up to them. The ironic part is if you wrote on his talk page - "hey that picture sucks, you should take it out" he might have gone along with it. Also, I disagree that by reverting you he was just pushing a button without knowing what he was doing. It's been my experience that that is not the case. But even if it were, the best way to deal with that is to actually talk to him, not to just assume he's wrong and you're right. --Φιλαστερ 01:07, 27 June 2008 (CDT)
- Holy shit. I didn't mean for this to be such a big deal. The pic isn't exactly hilarious, but it says "change" a whole bunch of times, and it goes well with the section that it's in and works well to further criticize Obama's repetitive and uninformative policies of "change." Just leave it up. There are shittier pics than that in the gallery, but as long as they're not of illegal content or so unfunny that they detract from the quality of the article, just try to leave them up. ~ endedrural (talk) 09:54, 27 June 2009 (CDT)
