User talk:Somey
From Encyclopedia Dramatica
Hello, Somey
THIS IS SERIOUS; READ IT.
Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:
- 1. New User
- Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.
- If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. To start you off:
- Sign your comments using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
- To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page.
- These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them.
- 2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.
Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.
Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list and ED IRC. If you need an admin, the list of active ED Sysops will let you know who's around. To chat with or to ask for help from other ED users, then please hit up the experts in #wiki on our IRC.
If you plan on sticking around, feel free to make your mark on the ED:Map and join the ED Facebook, the ED Myspace the ED Bebo and follow the ED Twitter. If that's not enough ED for you, feel free to join the all new ED Forums.

Your "betrayal" of Blissyu2
“Remember, remember the fifth of November, |
|
Ritegroic 01:02, 16 May 2008 (CDT)
- OK, I'll try not to forget, though I'm supposedly "at risk" for Alzheimer's... Was it really the fifth of November? Seems like much longer ago than that. Somey 14:32, 19 May 2008 (CDT)
- Well, you have to take the time zones into account. In the US, where I am, it was Nov. 6th when I locked him out of his WR member account, which at the time was meant to be temporary, and e-mailed him a notification. That e-mail would have arrived on Nov. 7th in Australia, which might account for the discrepancy. On Nov. 5th, I was still advocating that he be allowed to continue posting in the restricted forums (he had been denied access to the public ones a week earlier, I believe).
- Anyway, I guess the only problem I have with this is that setting a specific date gives people the impression that this was a "snap" decision on my part, which wasn't the case at all. To some extent, it started as a general misunderstanding - I had been given access to the site's domain control panel in June 2007, and most people knew that by November 2007. So, since Blissy was still considered by many to be the domain owner at that time, and Selina (the actual domain owner) wasn't very active, I was considered the "go-to guy" for any attempt to block/ban Blissy via technical means. Because of that, I'd been receiving "confidential" personal messages and e-mails from various WR regulars since roughly the second week of August... and most (if not all) of these members basically told me they'd be leaving the site if Blissy remained. But since the messages were confidential, I felt that I had to take it upon myself to deal with the situation, even though (as it turns out) any of the four admins could have done the same thing(s) I did. I was actually one of the last, if not the last, to agree to actually "ban" him - prior to that, we tried making deals and attempted compromises with him, of varying descriptions, none of which did any good.
- However, during that period Blissy threated to sue at least one person via the board; made several wild claims about "lots of people being hurt" because of a WP sockpuppeting prank which in fact hurt nobody at all AFAIK; called for the banning of two members, the demotion of one moderator, and the promotion of two other members to our now-disbanded "Anti-Cabal Cabal" (ACC) group; and all this despite negligible support for these actions from anyone else. Ironically though, one of the members whom Blissy wanted banned was the one who eventually betrayed the ACC group with falsified screen-shots, apparently because he thought I was a "homophobe."
- If-only, eh? Oh well, at least you put the word "betrayal" in quotes... Thanks! Somey 01:18, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
I'll correct your lies.
- Selina was *NEVER* the domain owner. She was the coder. I was the domain owner, and always had been. Selina might say that she was the owner every so often, but I and others always corrected her. Seems that you got conned over that.
I had agreed to not be an adinistrator on the site, for the same reason that Selina wasn't meant to be an administrator - because it was too much power.
On 5th November 2007, I wrote a post on Wikipedia Review stating "happy 2nd birthday". The next day, 6th November 2007, there was a post from Kato in which he said that he had quit. I said that it was a fake (which it turned out to be). This was when many people demanded for me to go.
You banned me on 7th November 2007, by hacking my account (something you admitted at the time). The official ban was more like 13th November, after I said that I would not let you ban me because I was the owner of the site and could just get the site back. You responded by telling me that possession was 9/10th of the law, and you didn't think that I would be able to get the site back. You then said that you had hacked enough places that I couldn't get it back.
Then you hacked my e-mail address, which is now gone, presumably to stop me from being able to proceed with things.
There were not "wild claims". Kato told a big fib about Private Musings, that caused massive posts on Wikipedia newsgroups, led to over 200 people being banned (were they all the same person? I don't think so!), and led to a lot of people writing lies on Wikipedia Review. You yourself wrote lies about it on Wikipedia Review. You posted that it was another example of Wikipedia over-reacting. But what you failed to mention was that you, or at least Kato, had started it. Kato started the drama, started the lies.
Yes, Jorge was the one that I wanted to see banned. But that was because he was banned before, by Selina. You did ban him again, didn't you? Of course you did. That is because Jorge was unstable. Jorge was the one who, after Kato started up his nonsense, started making up stories about me and posting personal information about me everywhere. That was why I asked that his ban be reinstated. But you conveniently ignored that, allowed him to do that, and then woops you noticed that he wasn't worth keeping after all.
You will see that Kato is trying to take over. Much as how you stole WR from me, undoubtedly Kato will steal WR from you. Who do you think really hacked Wikipedia Review? Me? I think you'll find it was Kato. He will try again too.
I asked for Kato to be de-moderated, and why did I ask this? Firstly, because you didn't do it with any discussion. You just up and put him in. That's not the right process. Secondly, he had done a lot of bad things since being in the trusted users area, such as his attacks on The Fieryangel. Yet you made him an administrator. I had grave concerns about what he was doing. These proved to be well founded, as they led to a lot worse things.
How do you think that Selina got possession of the domain? I gave her the password to the forum so that she could do the coding. She never owned the site. She just gave you the password too.
Why do you think that Blu Aardvark and company hacked the site, stating that they were giving the site back to its rightful owner? Were they simply insane?
And why is it that for 2 years nobody questioned that I was the owner? Or did I go back in time and make everyone lie?
I think that you are a fraud, Somey. And while Wikipedia has an article on Wikipedia Review, people are going to seriously start digging. All of your lies are going to be exposed. You had the chance to do the right thing. You failed. Maybe now it is too late. You can't keep the truth out forever, no matter how hard you try. Blissyu2 09:07, 12 July 2008 (CDT)
Heard you spy on your members
Damn! That shit isnt cool - you share IP addresses with other people from people who go on Wikipedia Review?! You are one faggot who deserves to be trolled! I hope you get whats coming to you. You dont believe in shit, do you? --Somey Is A Lying Fagtard 20:58, 18 May 2008 (CDT)
- Cute name! Somey 01:18, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
Don't worry, Somey is the world's number 1 hypocrit! He has undoubtedly done his best to pretend that none of this has happened, all of the time insisting that Wikipedia needs to have transparency! Real names needed on Wikipedia too. Isn't that right, Mr "Somey"? LOL Blissyu2 09:13, 12 July 2008 (CDT)
What is this?
Somey, what were you describing as the "worst single breach of personal privacy in Wikipedia's history" and "that material" in http://wikipediareview.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=18233&view=findpost&p=102985 this post? Was this the Newyorkbrad thing, or does this have something to do with me on ED? Quodealis 14:20, 19 May 2008 (CDT)
- We're being told now that he only has the two threads that he altered screenshots of, and those don't mention you, so try not to worry so much. However, I would try to make peace with him if possible, and if you can't, just disengage completely. He obviously doesn't care that you're under the COPPA minimum, and neither does ED, apparently. And really, as long as he only has those two threads, we probably won't press charges. Somey 14:30, 19 May 2008 (CDT)
- Somey, you truly don't know what I have, do you? But I would love--LOVE--for you to press charges. NYB and I have had some interesting talks. You know those screen shots aren't fakes. So - I DARE YOU TO PRESS CHARGES. Put up or shut up. --Shankbone 14:40, 19 May 2008 (CDT)
- Why not both? Somey 01:18, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
- Yes, those screen shots were fakes. The same as how my screen shots of Lunarpages and GoDaddy telling me I owned Wikipedia Review, as at February 2008, were fakes. The same as how I had gone back in history to have official conversations with Jimbo Wales and Larry Sanger as owner of Wikipedia Review. Gosh, we sure are incredibly good liars! Or wait, maybe you are a liar? Blissyu2 09:11, 12 July 2008 (CDT)
Tale of Two Faggots
Hello lovely! I see you have been involving yourself in this drama - want to give a statement over on my Talk page to help sort it out? Please, no lies - we got spies everywhere. Insta 23:44, 19 May 2008 (CDT)
- No offense, but why should I be the one who has to adhere to a "no lies" restriction that obviously doesn't apply to anyone else involved? Somey 01:18, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
- I don't think I have lied. Although my excessive love for Shankbone might have caused me to view those who slighted him too harshly at first. Shankbonelover 09:38, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
fieryangel on wikipedia review was this --> Rebecca <-- ? Ritegroic 01:41, 28 May 2008 (CDT)
- Rebecca the transgendered WP admin? God no! The fieryangel on WR was (or presumably is, unless he/she has offed himself/herself) just some musician who got fed up with WP a while back. I got a PM claiming that the "Rebecca" on Lonely Conservative was actually somebody else, and I guess I wouldn't be too surprised if it was another WR member (gotta love 'em!)... Anyway, apparently WR's The fieryangel sent the woman who runs the Lonely Conservative an e-mail after that, warning her that she should be prepared for a serious WP-cult attack-drone invasion. She seems to have removed the blog post a couple of days later - she was more afraid of Wikipedia drones than "Liberal Democrats" and "Obamamaniacs" - which isn't surprising, since Liberal Democrats and Obamamaniacs are mostly decent folks, relatively speaking. But no, definitely not Rebecca. Somey 02:43, 1 June 2008 (CDT)
- Here's a youtube about "Liberal Democrats" and "Obamamaniacs" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSXUfu16pUw . The girl mixes up Obama and Osama at one point and she says a solar flare is what caused a hole in the ozone layer. Ritegroic 03:52, 1 June 2008 (CDT)
