Congratulations on joining ED! You probably fit into one of these categories:
- 1. New User
- Before making your first article look over ED:101. Try checking out random articles and fixing typos, grammar and/or bullshit where you find them before trying to make a new page. To start with, make multiple small edits to different articles until you have the hang of it. If you don't, it is unlikely that your article will survive for more than sixty seconds and you risk being molested by ED Sysops.
- If you don't know anything about wiki formatting and code, please read ED:BASIC and the Style Guide. To start you off:
- Sign your comments using four tildes (like this ~~~~)
- To answer a message, reply on the user's talk page.
- These are the sysops. If you have a problem, talk to them.
- 2. Mediawiki Migrant If you're an experienced wiki user (probably from a Wikipedia offshoot) who knows how to operate, please read ED:101 for offical policy and ED:MIGRANT for tips on assimilation and basic rules.
Whichever you are, to successfully contribute to ED, please take some time to look around, note why other people get banned and don't act like they did.
Communication with other users prevents misunderstandings and can be done through talk pages, TJC and the mailing list and ED IRC. If you need an admin, the list of active ED Sysops will let you know who's around. To chat with or to ask for help from other ED users, then please hit up the experts in #wiki on our IRC.
If you plan on sticking around, feel free to make your mark on the ED:Map and join the ED Facebook, the ED Myspace the ED Bebo and follow the ED Twitter. If that's not enough ED for you, feel free to join the all new ED Forums.

Please don't revert sysop rollbacks. Also, when editing please do not delete massive chunks of text unless what you're putting up is funnier or of an equal length/goodness. In the case of Forunlawfulck it was neither. --Mister Six 17:37, 11 Oct 2005 (UTC)

- [Lumifox]] is a good friend of mine and the giant part he added was unfunny and said the exact same thing I said, just worded differently, so it was just the same crappy stub article I had made only it was posted twice. Longer =/= Funnier. If I edited the article of the day, and just rewrote what it said so it was in my own words, and posted it on the end of the original version, would it be deleted?
- That article sucks in general and I might make it longer later, because I have no life.
- I'm generally unfunny and a n00b, so bear with me.
