Page moves

When you page move it preserves the history, you don't need to flush an article and thereby the history to do so. Why would you do that?

• No, you're doing it wrong. Why would you be moving a userspace article onto an existing article in the first place? He can merge it with the article himself. We don't delete articles and histories simply because someone's rewritten something in their userspace, that's fucking retarded. Don't delete motherfucking histories.

• Yeah, the deal is that when you normally move an *existing article to another name, the history will be be preserved. But when you move a page to title that already exists you delete the original history. That's why it's says "deleted to make way for move", which is why it's best to just merge a rewrite (ie. a userspace draft) with the page instead of moving it over top of the existing article.

That's fine, it really wasn't the right tag anyway, considering that it's been a featured article and all. I actually like the article and was trying to pick one that called attention to the article without implying that it was bad. I just went and made some of the cleanup editions anyway.

Not sure what to do on it beyond cleanup, though (same for the cutting article since I really don't know much about how it's percieved on/relates to the internet) but it seems a little sparse.
